[Suggestion] Volume control for Radio

(Simbot) #1

I hope its not too late for some suggestions to make this game better.

Seems like no game ever allows you to control the radio chatter, it would be awesome if you guys would add a volume control for radio chatter, that way we can hear more stuff going on in the game besides “enemy spotted” or “Fire in the hole”.

If anyones played BF2 then they know how annoying radio chatter can be, listening to a commander say “enemy spotted” 20x everytime he does a scan will drive you up a wall.

I just turn them off

Turn what off? no game out right now allows you to disable or lower radio chatter volume. You do know what i’m talking about right?

If this game will support upto 32-50+ players (dont know if it will or not) being able to lower the radio spam volume will come in handy.

That’s called bad game design. Very unlikely that will happen here.

cg_noVoiceChats disables voice chats in ET (I assume that’s what Nail means), and g_voiceChatsAllowed prevent spamming of voice chats. AFAIK it’s not possible to limit automatic voices like for example “land mine spotted” though, which can get a bit annoying if there’s a useful covert ops on the team for once.

so seldom see cov ops spotting I’d forgotten about “landmine spotted”, but you can turn off announcer to lose the “Old City Captured” "Capture the Old City " spam as well as novoicechats

lol… I’m always the guys who spots like 5-10 mines at a time… I can never resist the temptation to spot mines.

Spam protection works wonders. But I still think the VO is required. It is much easier to hear what is going on rather than search through reams of text.

We all know how EA makes games, they dont care to make the game best it can be, only care about how much $$$ they can milk you for.
