Suggestion for season 2: let us cancel matches

There is the Problem in ranked, that you often lose ranked points Even you didn’t really lose the game in a fair way. I.e. there is a Hacker on the Server or someone from your Team Rage quits or crashes right at the Start. A vote for canceling the game would be great for such Situation. With Maybe 3 yes from the calling an 2 yes from the enemy team for Passung.

I suppose it would make sense to get the game over with because toughing out a 3v5 sucks but maybe you should need the whole team to yes so that way you don’t get people canceling games like a troll.

yes, when i did solo q 3 times in a row, i had 3 1v5 in a row, because people were leaving :c

Leaving should have reduction rank and level so i can manipulate it to reduce my level

I don’t think canceling matches would be a good idea because people will abuse it.
But maybe harsh the punishments for leaving (first abandon = instant loss, 2nd abandon and up = same as losing 2 matches/losing double the elo you would’ve lost from that game if you lost with your current stats)

In paladins, you get 30 Minutes bans if u leave the comp match.

@FrostyVampire & @AlphaUT You are kind of missing the point. You can punish someone who leaves early however you want. Still the players on his team will have to keep playing and will lose ranked points.

But then you can rage quit every time you are about to lose and your team will cancel the match.

I don’t mind reduced elo gain/loss but completely canceling the match is a bad thing

the only nice solution is huge credit loss for rage quit.

but before starting the Ranked you will be given contract that you must agree to get sanctioned by the system and few thousand credit loss if the player call quits before the game ends.

What how? How people will abuse this? The idea is obviously to cancel a match without getting a lose and negative reputation. Otherwise you could just quit or forfeit a ranked match, like you can do now. When people get the ability to just cancel a match when they lose, everyone will just cancel matches as soon as they start to lose.

I’ve read what he wrote. A vote that cancels a game. Means a free cancel for premade teams and if someone is hacking or someone ragequits it’s not that hard to tell your team to vote yes. And if people will know that such thing exists, it will be a free cancel function. You should try to understand the meaning instead just reading words.

Then this is pretty much a useless feature in my opinion because noone ever will end a match which he’s winning.
Pretty much every player will proceed and stomp his enemies. We have it now, we’ll have it in the future.

Not necessarily true.

In many cases yeah sure, but players like myself and any other level headed people would be happy to cancel a ranked match if I had a hacker on my team.

Not everyone is a dick haha. It couldn’t hurt to have this.

People have to remember this game is somewhat unstable. I’ve had DB crash mid-game numerous times before. Massive penalties won’t stop people from leaving, only make them more pissed if their game crashes.

I agree with OP.
Sure, it’s not that likely to get called, but at least there’s the option.
