I have yet to nominate anyone in this thread, but i think now is a good time.

I’d like to nominate some clanmates, that would allow sGs to have a team (we are currently 3 active members) in which we could compete competitively to give feedback in this game, something that i feel is missing right now as we have an abundance of public players, that are just trying to mix together to try and “recreate” a competitive environment which i don’t feel is a good representation (with poor teamwork/communication as people are shy/new to each other).

Going to nominate 3 out of many members, as i feel they are probably the most active (something i’ve noticed is an issue with alot of people around here) and therefore would make the most out of a alpha/beta stage. They all have an extensive esport history.

  1. sGs.Rio - Very successful in each game he competes in, at the top level of comp, has great experience in ET and won a lot in L4D, Tribes:Ascend and Brink, can definitely see this game being a hit with him, and he has plenty of time to dedicate towards playing/feedback.

  2. sGs.gfn (Harry) - new member to sGs but has extensive comp background, personally know him from Rush Zone from the Brink scene in which he put alot of community effort in + they were successful (semi-finals Brink Championship), a great talented player that thrives in a competitive environment. History in CS:S as a player + manager, also competeed in quake3/cpma.

  3. sGs.Aleborg - founder of sGs and the t-bag in QW (I believe ashog got this from him?), im sure a ton of you from the ETQW scene remember him, im pretty sure he played in the closed beta for QW and he also played competitively for sGs there. He’s still around gaming playing pretty much every decent title released, so has alot of knowledge to share from experience.

I know there’s an extremely thin chance of any invite’s provided, but i guess it’s worth a try and i could see these players being beneficial to this stage of the game as more competitive feedback is needed (for this competitive orientated game) and they could be extremely active. I think that this thread should be officially closed. There’s no reason why SD is going to invite anyone from here anymore since the paid access happened :wink:. There will be no more early access for comp teams from here haha!

But it is needed to test levels on high comp level to see how good this maps are balanced. In w:et and etqw and wolfenstein teams like dignitas give a great imput for promods. As we saw in a few matches maptimes are hard to set. We will give feedback on our thoughts later.

SD have said they want and will invite clans to test the game in proper matches before release. I honestly don’t think I could stand playing if the skill levels were imbalanced more than they are already, teams are already being stacked to buggery.

Also, while the game is obviously focused at competitive play, public appeal is also critical to its success.
