Stream Round-Up: 5th September

#1

FACEIT:

  • All changes shoe. is planning on implementing regarding points, how they are awarded, in what quantity etc. (read more about this here) have been approved by the FACEIT team. He is now finishing writing the change log that explains the reasoning behind the adjustments he made and hopes to have them released today.

  • Another hub is being added for the regions Australia and Asia. To avoid long queue times it’s a combined one - players from both continents will be playing with each other.

Server issues:

  • The devs have acknowledged the server issues hindering players from spawning and are working on resolving them. A temporary workaround to this is to hit escape, switch to spectating and then join one of the teams.

Other:

  • Two guests named R3booker and Frankie joined shoe. for a few FACEIT matches today. If you want to check out their content, here is their twitch: twitch.tv/rwgtv

  • Due to awkward stream settings and lighting shoe. had red lips.

  • Shoe. was getting heaps of friend requests in FACEIT causing an enormous swarm of notifications.

“due to awkward stream settings and lightning…”
shoe got struck by lightning and all it did was turn his lips red?
:octopus:

No mention about the removal of duo queues? How about enabling dodging/leaver penalties? I thought the below was meant to be getting activated.

Not accepting a match when queueing: 5 Minute Cooldown
Not joining the server when it configures (AFK): 1 Hour Cooldown
Leaving a live match: 1 Hour Cooldown

I was in the 3rd FACEIT match with Shoe on Bridge. Other team was short by 1 player due to technical fault (I think his client crashed and he couldn’t re-join). It was an upset win.

It’s one of those things I was concerned about in a previous thread discussion.
