Strange request: old et minimizer

I’m searching for an old ET Minimizer that was hard to find 3 years ago and is especially hard to find now I’ve searched google to death, but came up empty. The file name was hack.exe (no it wasn’t an aimbot or anything, it was just a “minimize hack”) and the icon for it was a picture of Garfield…if anyone has this or knows where i could find it that would be excellent. Seems to be the only one that ever worked for me and now i cant find it anywhere. Before ya ask, no it wasnt etmin :slight_smile: Thanks in advance.

is it something like minimize the game when it is still running so you could do something else?

I really hate it how all of my favorite recent id games can’t minimize when the game is running. I might need something like that too. I don’t want to quit game, check stuff on internet, open game, wait a few minutes then load game. I just want to alt+tab out, look at internet, then alt+tab back in.

Unless this thing is totally different and is not about minimizing id games to the desktop. Then nevermind.

My cousin always preferred other game to id game just for the sole fact that you can’t minimize during a game. Hopefully this will be implemented in quake wars.

yeah thats exactly what it is…there is ETMIN which is “the” minimizer for ET, but it never worked for me for whatever reason. Years ago I had the one I mentioned above and it was the only one that worked right for me. Yeah you can ctrl + alt +del right click ET and hit minimize, but Id rather just hit a hotkey :confused:

It is kind of a hassle to disconnect during a game just to check some important MSN messenger stuff and also virus scans that pop up.

That work ok for me in ET.

You could try the Q3 Minimizer then. It works also with other quake3 engine games.

zig-zag is right on… I’ve never had a minimizer, I just alt-enter out and then can do whatever I want.

Alt+enter causes a map reload though, so a minimizer is faster.

I personally play windowed all the time instead. :wink:

yeh windowed to the same size as the screen, that way u dont lose much and u have everything needed
