Strange Lags since two days

Hello everybody,
since two days, I’m getting every time I try to play RtCW:ET very frustrated, because when I connect and choose my team, after two seconds it says “Connection Interrupted” then it’s okay for three seconds, then again “Connection Interrupted”.
No, I’m not downloading anything in the background, noting is running except ET. And yes, my Internet-Connection is up and running.

Need help please!

After I solved my “freezing” Problem by switching the grapics down to 16-Bit, everything worked out just fine, and now the above mentioned problem. Slow but steady I’m getting frustrated with ET - it could be such a great game if it worked without troubles like that :moo: :drink:

Additional Info, I have just re-installed ET, same outcome, still unplayable :banghead: :frowning:

Could be PunkBuster trying to update. Try downloading and running their update tool from this link.

Also, if you use Windows XP, try disabling the Indexing service. Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. Find Indexing, right-click, select Properties and set Startup type to Disabled. Reboot.
