MY name… oh god. well it started out in my early teens as hamoregh darkrose from WoW. and i played for years but it died and i grow out of it… so for years i used hamoregh as my user name… and darkrose was if i needed a longer one but after awhile and my first anthro con i started to because one with the furry life and turned into wolf darkrose as i am now. so in short my name is what use furries can our furson our furry self… and plus the name is cool to me so ya thats about it.

I watched a crap load of Danganronpa, and if you can guess from my name, Genocider Syo was my favorite character, but instead of calling myself Genocider Syo, i just decided to add a “Sweet” because i love sweets also, and then added a Genocide to the end. (glad that i choosed this name, it totally fits my DB personality <-<)

I used my real first name or a shorthand combo of my real first name and last name for years. Then I needed a character name in WoW and the song, “Amerika” by Ramstein was playing on my playlist. I like that song, the name wasn’t taken and Team America World Police is also great so I’ve been using it ever since.

Frogteam. There’s a long story behind this name. Probably.

I’m a bit of a birdbrain, so I actually forgot where my name comes from :expressionless:. I know I used it back when I played Enemy Territories, and that was probably the first place I used it.

Honestly I probably just grabbed two random words, put one after the other and called it a day, I was a kid and I just needed an account in the game so my brother wouldn’t know I’d been playing on his (I was way too young to be playing shooters). But I’m glad I did subject myself to such violence, cause that’s probably why I’m here now, playing another quality shooter.
Just kidding I’m only here to melee only now.

My story behind my name is kind of a long one. Before I came up with the name Cryonic Arrow I used go by the name Master Frost after my main character in City Of Heros a mmo I used to play. For a time I used Master Frost as my name until right around 2012 I started playing DC Universe online where I came up Cryonic Arrrow for one of my Archer chars. Cryonic stands for Cryogenic and my affinity for cold and Arrow after my love for archery. And so I thought it was a cool name use as my username so I have been using it ever since.

Back then at the end of the previous millennium when Doom and Quake were finally ported to Amiga home computers I noticed that many players in shooters use intimidating or cool names. So I decided that I’m not going to join that crowd and used various silly names in shooters ever since.

Years later I obtained a Quake Con pack on Steam and needed a silly name again. Incidentally I was into Finnish trash pop at that time and wanted to pick tipitii (the Finnish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1962), but it was already taken. So instead I picked [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9rFp_og8so]teflonlove, the first single of the band [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nylon_Beat]Nylon Beat, widly regarded as “Queens of Finnish trash pop”. Nevertheless they sold more records than Micheal Jackson in Finland. And for some reason Korean girl groups like to cover them.

So I figured that would be silly enough and I’m still happy with it.

Sorry if this is a thread necro, I found interest in it.

My name is also due to a trial and error type of thing when I was trying to create a new email for myself. My first ever email contained my first and last name in it… somehow it was prone to being spammed in other languages (due to my real name)… I grew very tried of this so I started working on something that was a bit less likely to get spammed in Portuguese/Italian. Hey… if you are going to spam me, at least do it in English… :tongue:

Anyway… so I’m not sure why anymore, but the word Snake was one that I wanted to use in my email, I’m not sure if it had to do with Metal Gear or not as this was ages ago… Snake was obviously already taken, so I started adding more stuff, and eventually I was left with SnakekillerX, which I’ve stuck with ever since. (probably about 16 years now)

This username is usually linked with this ninja picture, which is also a picture of me. I was pretty obsessed with ninjas for a while in my youth and there was this school project where I played a ninja in a silly short film.

I was at home one day and decided I wanted a picture of myself, but didn’t have a digital camera, so I did what any sane person would do, and put my head into my digital scanner. (seriously though… don’t do it!)

It was ridiculously bright and I was scared I might have caused eye damage. (might have, as I am near sighted now… but that could also be unrelated)

Huh, well I guess I could share the story of how I got my online nickname.

Back in like 2012, I wasn’t very into the fps genre or just steam in general. There once was a game called “Buddy Rush.” In the game, are several classes to choose from. The one which caught my attention was the class “Boorseye.” Now it’s my online persona ever since. I see quite a bit of people mispronounce it. It is pronounced as “bullseye” except instead of the l syllable, you replace it with an r syllable, hence “Boorseye” But you may ask, how did I get Boory, even more so for BooryDarthNader? Well, if you remove “see” from “Boorseye,” you get “Boory.” This is a joke for myself as I am a bad sniper(get it? no see?) Well, how about DarthNader? I had quite a bit of illiterations of my Boory nickname. Some of these are : ExplosiBoory, BooryDaHam, BooryDaEngi, BooryDemoHam, and just Boorseye. At some point, my best friend suggested Darth Nader after I had him watch n8o’s nader merc role call video. I really like the name, so I custom made my avatar, Nader with a Darth Vader chest plate, black shirt, and an empire symbol on the chest and headband.

That’s my story.

P.S. I’m pretty sure Buddy Rush servers are closed nowadays. It kinda makes me sad and hope that DB won’t be just a game I remember like Buddy Rush.
