Stop working on the game and fix bugs? (unsalty) (No disagrees please)

(Orivar) #1

Hey it is me, the guy who everybody hates and I am back in another discussion. (yay o:)

What do you guys think about that the developers will stop working on the main content of the game (maps and turtle) for 2-3 weeks and fix most of the bugs in the game?
Maybe all\most of the developers will browse the forums for one hour looking for new ideas for the game that they can make in 2-3 weeks?

I will be much more happy that I know the developers are listening to me, the guy who wants to spend money on their game but doesn’t want to spend it in that state of the game.

Can we reach 5 agrees on this one?

For the developers and the people who want to know about bugs:
Dont hold your breath. Fixing bugs is not really a priority.

Think about how long the Aura healing glow bug is already in game. They anounced a fix was in testing already in march (http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/25052/dev-stream-round-up-14th-march-2016/p1) still nothing happened.

Server responses as full, but isnt. Forcing one team to play with one man less, ruining whole games.

The really embarrassing hitbox bug, after you blow up secondary objective on trainyard.

Just check this thread. People collected over 30 bugs in 2 days to get a status on them. Thread was ignored. Then hastily there was a response given to 2 bugs, which were fixed in the 1.5 months the thread was ignored and then it was closed. Tells you something about how important bugs are to them.

Okay…
How can you know that SD does not have different people doing different things for the game? Like… Graphic designers who develop new models and textures, map designers, people for the general coding and people who work on bugfixing?
I don’t know, but it seems to me that they have to have different people doing different stuff simultaneously, like every other dev team I knew before. So it’s pretty stupid to say: “Whole SD is sitting on Turtle and Dockyard and noone is fixing the bugs”.

Besides that, if you want the devs, aka SD, to see your ideas directly, make threads at their forum. The WarChest forum,
But watch out for FireWorks calling you cancer for coming from here because he is such an uber forum supreme being and above us all.
and not the publisher, aka Nexon, forums where shoe is rarely looking at threads, and Raziel is even rarer. Like a shiny Pokemon.

There are probably texture bugs and other bugs that other SD people can work on. Like balancing and all of that.

They can do both at fixing bugs and releasing main content if they stop f**king up every patch with more bugs and not fixing it for months creating more problems and doing retarded events and inventing new systems the stir up even more chaos.

(DarkMatterMatt) #5

If they just fixed bugs. The last fine tuning patch was XP balancing for goodness sake. That should be bottom of the priority list. The last hotfix was changing what servers are what levels… Seriously guys, that doesn’t matter

(Orivar) #6

99.9% agree.

Pls give my an agree on the main post pls, I want to have 5 agrees pls

(Ohsnapkline) #7

sry I have to disagree because it’s too funny now (even though I Agree…kinda). picking on you but out of respect it’s kinda your thing now

(Ohsnapkline) #8

this

(Orivar) #9

So I am the disagree guy now? I thought we were friends :’(

we are, you’re my Buddy I differ with.

but back on topic I seriously don’t think splash can afford to skip out on content. @neverplayserious posted this in another thread things aren’t looking good this summer.

I mean Splash has managed to keep me from playing the game latley (which I play more than i’d like to admit, man I need to get some sun) by making all the 6v6 servers minimum level 10.

I might not even stick around depending on how casual match-making goes, if they don’t make it 6v6 (or an option for it) i’m out, nuff said I’m uninstalling and leaving for overwatch like everyone else has. those new competitive play changes look nice like hero limits etc… (so no more winston/tracer stacking on king of hill)

At least they are doing something and they have a test server (they=Blizzard). If we had a test server in dirty bomb, the game will be better…

(bontsa) #14

@AnotherGuy I dont know what Private Test Server means in your books but for me it’s exactly that and DB has it.

(Orivar) #15

Another game we can download that has 10 7vs7 servers. all of the new stuff will be released there first then after tweaks it will be released to everybody.
Think about the crafting system and more stuff, bugs and all of this could not be in the game right now…

(acrobaticBudgie) #16

Make your damn mind up!

(Szakalot) #17

@DarkMatterMatt it matters A LOT. xp is one of the stats used to evaluate how good a player is. bad xp awards lead to bad balancing in pubs, ranked, and the future pub MM.

people do not appreciate how hard it is to evaluate skill in this gamw. k/d alone can be very misleading, xp alone would be a disaster.
fortunately, at least the levels dont play any role

I wish the ending score screen showed more like how many revives and objective/sub objective etc…

BETA

(Mister__Wiggles) #20

‘beta’ xD. Anyway, the OP has a point. They refuse to advertise yet hold these events to bring in some more revenue. They won’t do a testing program, i asked before and was told there was one but got zero information. The updates have slowed right down and the content creators refuse to give the game any attention. With the recent dusting system can you imagine how bad this event has been for them? Who in their right mind would by elite cases now? I can see the type of people that this community has welcomed over the months, op was simply suggesting something we all won’t, showing him disagree because it’s the norm for the guy is incredible small minded. We all want the same thing, for db to succeed, but we all know that at its current rate it has more chance of dying. So, in future share ideas and don’t shoot them down.
