Sticky MG42 Tripod

I love playing mobile mg soldier. I’ve learned to “snipe” with it, and can do a lot of damage. The tripod toggle sucks though, I often have to hit the “z” alt-fire three or four times to get the tripod to deploy or undeploy. I have the same problem switching from mg to pistol, it often takes two or three taps on the weapon key to get it to switch. I have been killed many times because one of these functions get “stuck”. Is this a bug, or is there some way to speed up these functions?

I noticed that you sometimes have to issue console commands or key-strokes several times until it gets recognized. But it seems that this only happens on ETPub servers.

If you are in the middle of an animation…ie reloading…proning…etc. the animation will finish before you change weapon etc.

switching to bipod mode is done through a client console command. if a server has sv_floodprotect 1 it can inadvertently block the command, this is probably whats causing it to happen on etpub servers.

etpro forcibly disables sv_floodprotect for this (and other) reasons, and handles flood protection internally in the mod instead.
