Maybe ask shoe and raziel.
But no. I think it’s a thing they want to implement in the (far) future
I am pretty certain steam trading will never come. Nexon won’t give Valve money. Counter Strike Nexon: Zombies does not have the steam market.
To the, more certain to come, in-game trading, last time Raziel said they’re looking into implementing it, but do not have any ETA or anything and it’s not very high on their priority list.
This is one of several things not actually in that category. As far as what has been discussed on streams this is a down the road post release desire.
Why they should give them money? Both will get money for every trade.
WIN-WIN, or not?
And player who got special / limited / rare crads or trinkets who don’t need them and want to sell can earn money and invest the money maybe again in dirty bomb.
Otherwise new (and of course old) player can buy the mentioned cards / trinkets which they want and never had a chance to get them.

It was sarcasm :I

Because they could implement it in a way that only they get money. And Valve won#t get 15%.

They wouldn’t make as much profit. Having steam trading would be more versatile. If people want a cobalt card, they can sell the CSGO weapon or steam trading cards from another game, and then purchase the cobalt card. If they implemented a independent transaction system, their profits wouldn’t be that high. Steam Trading is certainly the way to go imo.
But where’s the RNG in steam trading?
You actually think that Nexon is going to allow you to purchase what you want with your money?

IF we ever get trading it’ll be ingame, with a massive credit fee for both sides and knowing SD there’ll be some sort of RNG bullshit where you will never get what you actually want.
Perhaps some sort of mythical booster that ‘works as intended’ as well.

Steam trading requires a total makeover of their current shop.
Or they have to set prices for the cards.
Because why should I buy Elite Cases 5€ each if I could buy a Cobalt off another player for a small part of that for example, and Nexon won’t get anything from it but only the player and Valve for the transaction?
So much for “high profits”.
Steam trading can’t work with the current card/shop system.
I asked to Exedore about loadout trading last time I saw him. So far there’s nothing new about it, but the feature is definitely planned.

What would be, if they make more money with the steam trading system then with their current system? If you look @ cs this is absolutly possible. And yes, I know that cs has more players.
yeah they have to do many changes with the current system but i thought that was their plan?
thought they want to reduce new content in form of mercs to have recouces to change systems and allow such exiting features.
I think they can earn money as hell with steam trading. But they have to implement many more cosmetics or items to trade in general
But counterstrike belongs to Valve anyway doesnt it ? Thats why it works they get all the $$$ from that. To establish a similar market for DB would necessitate agreement on the sharing of the $$$ between Nexon and Valve, this isnt much likely to happen.
There are tons of games on the Steam Market, even small ones, so this is probably not something incredible in terms of agreements. Being part of the Steam Market would be a pretty big advertisement for DB, especially with a name starting with D (it would be between CS:GO and Dota II so most people using the Steam Market would see the name all the time, this might seem like nothing but I’m sure it would be a huge boost for DB). I’m not saying it is going to happen or not, but I’m just saying that if some small games are on the Steam Market this is nothing impossible for companies like SD/Nexon.

First of all, 29 games aren’t a ton. Second, there are only 4 or 5 games with steam market that are free2play and not published by Valve.

Who cares if they’re free2play or not? I guess there’s a reason why you’re saying that but how does that make a difference?
There are very few games from Valve, only the big games. All the rest are from other devs. So maybe Nexon think they would lose money from implementing that as it would be easier to get the loadouts we want and that’s why they don’t want to do it, alright but the agreement doesn’t look like a big deal.
