Stats question

(Nehle) #1

Hello

I have begin writing a PHP-application that will parse ET generated stats files and store them in a database (much like cynric’s, only this will be online). Now, parsing the file is done (Perl owns all, heh), so I have everything in a very easy-to-handle-format. I only have one question though: What the hell is “GP”?

TEAM Player Kll Dth Sui TK Eff GP DG DR TD Score

Axis =BBC=Pawn 16 4 3 1 80 10 2598 638 76 84
Axis ELL 9 8 0 1 52 13 1394 1398 112 60
Axis Razsta86 3 6 0 0 33 2 266 892 14 32

Okay, so this one doesn’t accurate

But still, It’s driving me nuts, does someone know what “GP” is and how it is calculated?

Thanks a bunch, I searched for “stats” but erm … I guess that was a bit too general ^^;;

Is there any chance of a SD guy listing what gives how many GP? Would save some peeps time experimenting :smiley: (not that it really matters, but it’s definately more interesting than XP (ack!))

Here is an early beta of what it will look like. The code is still very unoptmized and far from done. But it’s shaping up :smiley:

keep us updated, no other system worked for me yet and i am not really keen on writing one myself atm

Well, it’s all server-side. So there should be no problem there. In fact, you can go here (http://dragonball-se.com/cgi-bin/etpublish/index.php) and upload your own files =)

Just , you know , don’t overload my server or anything > ,>;;

problem is that i have difficulties getting cgi running at my server

btw: does your version need to be installed on the gameserver or can it be placed somewhere else?

It can be placed on any *NIX webserver wiht PHP/MySQL capabilities. This script is not for a server to keep track of the users, but rather for the users to upload their stats files and check their stats against both themselves and against others as well.

As for the CGI - I don’t think it’s necessary, as all the webserver runs is PHP/MySQL. The reason I put it in cgi-bin is because PHP executes a perl parser that reads the file and returns it to PHP in an easier format. I wanted to be sure that was executed correctly. In hindsight though, I think I could’ve put it anywhere

It’s a bit updated now. Please tell me what kind of stats you would like to see in coming versions
