Perhaps the fact that both Id Software and Splash Damage got another publisher helped the decision to take the site down a bit.

some online services[including regional mirrors for few worldwide popular] was temporally unavailable.
also some distant providers, have Gates/Access points in that center, including mine, with presumable consequences.
