Well, I know that there are special web sites 'bout “anty-cheating” but I had just returned from one of those (they didn’t know the answer for my question) so this is the last place when I can find help: the forum of ET’s creators…

I have server with cheat cvars and md5 checks so most of (or all) cheats and hacks that can be found at net should be sniffed by my anty-cheat sys…

I also use pb’s auto ss.
This is a one of many ss of some guy…

This look like ss block but at pbbans, admins aren’t so sure bout that. They dont know what to do with this fellow. Can somebody of You all help me? Maybe this guy really dont use a hack (?) Maybe is it sth bout his cfg or graphic card for example?..

Actually, this is still not the place to be sure to get an answer. The only one really involving these screenshots is Evenbalance. You could try to post a ticket there, but I’m not saying that there’s nobody on this forums which has ever seen this before.

Their forums and screenshot experts are very helpful and you can submit screenshots for analysis.

I’d have to say it looks highly suspicious.

I’m an admin and I’ve seen many screenshots. Most that fail are black due to gamma problems (adjustable).

The fact that this guy has a solid coloured box that’s evenly toned suggests to me it is highly unnatural.

My advice is perm ban the guy on suspicion of cheating and keep approaching the anti-cheat organisations until you have a definite answer.

However, i’d be highly surprised if there wasn’t a cheat involved.

I used to get blank screenshots from everybody using linux on a ATI card or something. I gather they’ve got a lot better at it (or the drivers have got better, whatever) but I wouldnt be in a hurry to assume against the guy.

ps. the server’s settings for grabbing ss are a bit… on the large side - 640x480 centred? PB is automatically halving that and then halving the resolution to make it a reasonable filesize, but you might want to set it to something that suits you and that PB will allow.

PB for admins gives a thorough guide to the settings.

ATM you’re trying fot 640x480, I assume samnple rate 2, but getting 320x240 sample rate 2.

So I assume you want the large area in which case you’d need to use:
pb_sv_SsWidth 640
pb_sv_SsHeight 480
pb_sv_SsXpct 50
pb_sv_SsYpct 50
pb_sv_SsSrate 4

or you’re actually happy with the size of output you’re getting just now, in which case you can get better sample rate:
pb_sv_SsWidth 320
pb_sv_SsHeight 240
pb_sv_SsXpct 50
pb_sv_SsYpct 50
pb_sv_SsSrate 1
