SplashDamage.com relaunches with new user accounts

Following the recent sneak peek in the forums, we’re thrilled and delighted to be launching the brand-new Splash Damage website today. We’ve made the site faster, easier to read, and more flexible, and we hope you like to the new look. Have a browse around and let us know what you think!

Equally exciting, we’re also launching our new, unified accounts system today, developed by the smart men over at Fireteam. The new account will allow you to log into the Splash Damage website, the just-launched WarChest website, the forums, and our future games, so it’s now your all-access pass to all things Splash Damage. We’ll also be able to use this new system to run future beta tests and offer additional game-related services for our games.

You won’t have to do anything to convert your account to the new system - we’ve already taken care of that part. The only thing you will need to do is activate your account via the email that’s sent to you the first time you log into the new system. Incidentally, logging in now happens via a secure server for that little bit of added security.

If you have any problems accessing your account or logging into the site, just give us a shout and and we’ll help you out.

The only remark is that the old SD forums supported more characters then these new forums.

That’s done in order to make sure you can use your warchest username for signing in on devices or games that might have restricted text input or with different keyboard layouts. Hope you don’t mind the change too much :slight_smile:

It still follows old style of SDs web content.

That’s something we’ll probably look at in due time, though we’re not looking to make Xbox-huge changes to the forums. The current design still works pretty well, we think.

Well, yes it does look well, not complaining about it.

But fix that damn Notifications text, the text positioning is wrong! (However ,while you hover over it, then it’s in right place! )
