Will we be able to see ET:QW at E3 this year?
Splash Damage at E3
So how do you guys make it into E3. Just run a W:ET Fan Site & review a pice of hardware now and again?
I’m a web developer… I wonder if that would qualify…
I think Splash Damage gets to go to E3 because they make games
I have a little ET fan site and no one invited me
Eh…you could go but it is £600 odd entrance fee, if I remember correctly.
From July I’ll be working for Microsoft so I reckon I’ll head to next years!
eek:
This year’s conference program will cost participants anywhere from $535 (one-day workshop), $575 (two-day pass) and $650 (for the deluxe three-day pass).
a bit too much to pay for a flight trip to LA and after that pay $535 to watch people play ET:QW.
if some of you get there, shoot the SD guys … with your cams of course … and post some pics
Give release date, more screens, ingame vids, gameplay description, beta and demo
SD you have much to prove! <3
I hear that “Mike Goodman” (A.K.A. the windbag) of the Yankee group, is scheduled to preach in-game advertisements to developers this year. The last thing I want to see in my gameplay is a commercial or product placement. Yell out !LAME!, during his speech, for me.
On a better note:
g4tv will have TV coverage of E3 this year !! Which means they will have videos online as well.
Here is the commercial/music-video-parody for the event: (Weird at the least) :moo:

So stay tuned to http://www.g4tv.com/ for more E3 news and hopefully an interview with SD…(hint hint).
Lol thats a very different commercial, maybe its a sign of the crazy games we are going to be seeing at E3
in dome PS2 games on the main menu there was an option to view advertisments to a few other games. this i have no problem with since it dint realy hurn and if you wanted to see the games then yeah why not. but poping up while playing or between maps etc would just suck and in SP total ruin the emersion
Instead of yelling during his speech bring a sniper rifle and crack that fools head open like a melon. Dont shoot him thats too painless, bust it with the butt of the rifle. Sorry, but peeps in advertising and marketing make me want to go postal.
$600 to bask in the glory of the SD guys, cheap as chips!
After E3, I want a photo with an SD employee, a Tapir and one of Carmacks Ferrari.
Well now that we know our gracious dev’s at SD will be hosting a ETQW 24 player Lan at the event.
The question begs to be asked, will SD release this exact Demo to the general public immediately there after.
When ET was released there was also a one map demo. If Spash Damage were to do this it would literally spark a tremendous fire in online FPS gaming. The good Lord knows it needs it too losing so much of its available players to titles like WOW.
I know from past experience Publishers are wary of releasing demos too early before a games release due to the fear that many players will grow tired of the title. I do think however in regards to big titles the effect is the exact opposite.
Both BF1942 and ET served well releasing an early demo and the public will be more than willing to be beta testers at that stage.
Deliver us the demo and we will provide the “Constructive” feedback to make this title the AntiBF2. EA released that title in the worst way possible, learn from their mistakes.
The good Lord knows it needs it too losing so much of its available players to titles like WOW.
The reason for that is that people are wanting a decent story behind their games these days and more “complete” characters. From what I have read so far about ET:QW this should be just the kind of game FPS needs to draw a following…
not only did fps online gameing lose people to WOW, some of the WOW peopz have lost it themselves:

currently i still have to decide what is worse: a virtual funeral in WOW or crashing that funeral. but i think i would play on the crashing side and feed the opponents with a spoon full of reality …
