where can i find the sounds from ET?
like “Fire in the Hole”, “Incoming!”

In the pk3 files in the et directory.
Open them with winzip and i’d advise using the view where it lists the files… not unzipping them first. Then it’ll be under something/sounds or whatever… I guess.

They’re in pak0.pk3\sound\chat\allies and axis, but they’re not named, they’re numbered (like 12.wav, 13.wav, etc), so you’ll have to listen to them all to find what you’re looking for. BTW there are some interesting sounds in there and elsewhere in the game files, like for instance on Fuel Dump there’s one of the Axis General saying “The tank has entered the tunnels!”, and some vsays like “Meet at waypoint!”, etc. I assume this is stuff that never made it into the game. Also have a listen to the “headlines” for each map, the stuff you may have heard on a Shrub server when people type “!news”. Fun stuff.

If the sounds are there then it should be possible to play them. If not, implement it bani!! :]
The code should all be there sitting there from Q3F somewhere… o.0
