I recently installed ET but I have had a problem since the beginning. When I load the game up, everything works perfect, right until I join a server. After it joins, my sound almost immediately quits working, and it won’t come back until I restart my computer. It usually quits the second it joins a server but occasionally it will work for 30 seconds or so. I have Windows XP (with every update that Windows Update could find) and a Diamond Monster MX300 (it is using the updated drivers from the Windows Update, Diamond Multimedia doesn’t seem to have an XP driver released for my card.) What do you guys think could be the problem? Thank you very much in advance.

Next time it happens, bring down the console (use the tilde key: ~) and then type: /s_stop
This might solve your problem.

That doesnt always work, you can also use “`” (next to the number 1 on the left).
