Increase the value of com_soundmegs to for example 128 and make sure it is not latched.
already did it, does not work
this is not a cvar problem,
seems like i am not the only one facing this problem but i cant find a solution
Provide more info then…
Full PC specification, OS, graphics drivers version etc…
U r not the only one, because I remember that somebody had tha same problem, but I don’t remember what was the solution for that.
i remember too having this problem
lag when hq announces objective
hunkmegs and soundmegs didnt fix it
Some mods are reading sound files during the game from your HD. I don’t use Windows but I do remember defrag/defragmentation tools which might speed up your hd access. Disable anti virus permanent scan for games and ensure there are no unnecessary apps/services running in the background.
its not really sound problem there was no lag when engine played voicechat only when HQ announced objectives
i have new installation and the problem is solved dunno how maybe some cvar values
I had same problem but with SSD, it’s speed is way faster than HDD and the problem can’t be on that.
And I didn’t look up what was causing the problem, however reinstalling Wolf:ET solved the problem.
I also thought it was because of an access to the hard disk
It makes me the same thing in Etmain.
And I use the minimum pk3 possible, those needed by the server and play on a single server.
I saw that others had the same problem but nobody seems to know where it comes from
It’s worth a try installing the game outside windows own file/directory hierarchy like somewhere in c:\games/wolfet and not in it’s own Program Files folder.
