Either way, it’s like DG said: admins will have a more powerful method of banning cheaters in ET:QW than in W:ET. A method that will hit the cheater in the wallet, where it hurts most.

The thing here is that hacking is starting to turn into a business. Where you get guys working on hacks 24/7, and where hacks sold to people will autoupdate when they’ve been detected. I think this is the biggest problem facing PB today. Ironically enough, it’s because we have anti cheat tools today they have been able to make big bucks out of it.
Apart from the fact cheating is totally unfair in mulitplayer turning them into a buisness is just crazy. I see that the future only holds a couple of ways to put a end to this
Make a game unhackable, as far as im aware ghost recon advanced warfighter is probably the only game to have show to be hack proof
Ban anyone found using cheats/hacks
Its a tricky one that developers face because this kind of thing isnt goin to go away.

You know as well as I that there are no 100% cheat free servers, XP save or not (unless they are passworded and/or empty). As an example I’ve caught several aimbots on the server you admin. 
Battlefield2 has a good CD key AND an account system and still there are lots of cheaters on Ranked Servers.
There is no way to stop the cheaters. Even if you are an admin on a server, you want to play a game, not play police officer.
I hope QW servers are able to sync with a global banlist. Cheaters are the lowest scum on earth.

Well looking at some of the figures RTCW:ET has 4095 bans to date where as bf2 has summit like 40 which seems like a double edged sword because on one hand so many people have been caught and banned but it seems like more people have tried to cheat on this game (well that dont make sence lol)
Those figures are meaningless regarding W:ET. That could have been 1000 players all deleting their etkey 4 times, or any number of possible scenarios. The same holds true for other games of course, but it would get expensive.

Three years later, and I still can’t grasp that concept . . .
ouroboro: While I can relate to the concept of difference of opinion, just because you feel that way doesn’t mean that the majority doesn’t.
Nail: I require no praise nor criticism from you. And no anti-cheat works perfectly. Cheaters routinely play on ETPro servers as well as those protected by PB. It’s a cat a mouse game by nature - people make hacks that beat current protection, devs find these hacks and beat them, and a new round starts again. ETPro and PB are defeated all the time.
Still trying to find the corellation between xp save and cheating though.
ok, here goes, xp save attracts less mature gamers, less mature gamers are imo more prone to cheat, add to that all the stupid admin features, !lol, !pip, !pants, etc and the whole pile of crap just evolves into a mess and it’s without etpro anti-cheat. I’d rather not play on servers where everyone has level5 everything and I have nothing. I also think xp save is the worst thing to happen to the game and ouro and I are far from being in a minority

Not if you take a look at the number of players playing each mod. ETPro may have the majority of servers, but the other ‘lesser’ mods combined have the majority of players. And of all the popular mods out there, ETPro is the only one specifically aimed at the competition scene. I think that’s rather indicative of opinion.
Just a note, I have nothing against ETPro or the team - they’ve done wonders for the community. I do however find it quite funny those who live and die by it. Just because something else offers features that you do not like doesn’t take away from it. There are TONS of people who won’t play ETPro because they’re looking for something a little less etmain’ish or competition based, or because they hate the attitudes of those who think they are holier than thou because of the mod the play or their style of play. Because people want to leave the game for an hour or two and come back and not have to start over is nothing new to the gaming world. This concept has been around for years. You might not like it, so my suggestion is to not play it and not pretend that everyone thinks like you.

yep, it’s my opinion, but that don’t make it wrong, I still think xp save is a horrible thing
and not having etpro anti-cheat in conjunction with pb is the very reason I don’t play on “little boys stroking their e-penis with 10,000 xp” servers
you think your mod is great, I think it sucks, just 2 opinions, mind you, etpub seems to have gotten it way closer, you should try it 
Ugh, I don’t want to fight with you. All I’m pointing out is that the XP Save bit is your own opinion and by no means fact. Many would agree with you, and it’s definitely not wrong, but many would also disagree with you, although no one usually speaks up.
This post, before and after your remark, was not about mods at all. You want to make it personal now, but I’m not going that route. The whole reason I spoke up is not because of my mod, but because my server does run XP Save, and the multitudes of people playing there love it. It’s one of many reasons my server remains ranked in the top 3 ET servers consistently on SL.
You are a figure within the ET community for the plain fact that you run a website directly based on the name of this game. New players will find your site first because of this. I would hope you don’t routinely express such immature comments as you posted above.

but who cares, the thread is about cheating in QW particularly and cheating in ET in general, I believe cheating is more prominent in xp save servers for the reasons I mentioned earlier
