Something is not right...
Support exp…
K/D doesn’t contribute to your score that much if you’re going hardcore medic.
When I said something is not right it is more of a complaint towards support XP and how OP it is particularly with Aura.
I agree , something is wrong here . Look at the enemy sniper , hes in first place with a positive k/d . That cant be right .
newbies ( no offense )
Medic = XP FARMING
Place your healing somewhere safe and you are the MVP on your team.

All you need to do is to put healing station for one second on all the teammates, remove it, and pick their XP through “health insurence” for the next 10 seconds…
Profit?
No! Don’t be a duck!
But really, health insurence needs nerf sadly
Nerf support XP, and you will never see a medic ever again… your playing with fire people!
What’s wrong with that picture is you can’t see how many revives they have. Getting revives, health insurance and badges for tons of revives contributes greatly to a score. You can get a pretty decent positive k/d score yet still not score that many points. You only start really bringing in points if you have a bunch of badges to go along with it (triple, quads and aces along with godlikes and other stuff). Same can be said for medics. They don’t have to be rambo to get a decent score because the system allows for them to play full on back of the line support yet still have the scoreboard treat them as if they are as good/better than the people getting kills.
So yeah, the only thing wrong with the scoreboard is it not showing revives and medals for revives. Sure, healing does give XP but it’s not what is carrying the score.

Still something is wrong when a player gets so many points just by pressing Q and E.
It’s not “just pressing Q and E”, you have to know when/where to press them. It’s important where you put the HS. And no, I’m not an Aura player.
i saw fragger with 15k xp and more
they just fired in any direction and scored lots of headshots with their m4 while occasionally pressing Q for some extra xp
is it wrong to support your team?
if you think so then you should get a phantom and run straight into enemy lines
I don’t mind these genuinely hardcore medicing people getting topscores.
What I mind and loathe is how easy it is still to top3 with semi-crappy placed healing station only while shoving defibrillators so far up in their intestines they gleam from their mouths occasionally.
Issue with that is these players never take the time to appoint for a surgery to remove paddles from there and actually start using them, if they keep topscoring without. Illusion of doing right.

That isn’t all they were doing. There were near combat, staying alive. That board also doesn’t show assists either. Being in a fight and not dying for a LONG time is a great trait for a medic to have and one that many medics tend to ignore. That medic had 9 deaths. Total. Their team average for deaths is 13.75. They had the fewest deaths in the match besides the two players that obviously joined late to fill the slots of some leavers.
So did this player deserve that many points? Probably. They carried their team as a support. Why shouldn’t a support player get some credit for doing well?
On top of that, why does it matter? It is XP, and XP is fairly worthless imo. If getting a little extra hp for health insurance means they are going to keep playing a medic as well as they did that game then I am all for it. If this thread encourages other players to choose medic to earn extra xp by helping your team then I am still all for it.
I fail to see how this is in any way a problem. And trivializing the role of the medic is fantastic. They won, right? Was that medic a huge part in it? Looks like it to me. That was a grinding lots of deaths battle in a 8v8. They made a difference.
Guys, are you for real, seriously?! My first comment just has to be for this insanity…
I’m level 51 and to tell you the truth 95% of the public games I’m BRUTALLY FORCED to play as an medic! No one touches medic, no one! When someone does, he is actually role-playing fragger or whatever. I’m getting pretty sick and tired of this! Even my friends joke about it: “medic for life”. I’m always top scorer with K/D around 1 or bit above (30/25 or whatever) and almost always get harassed no matter if we win or lose: “look at this guy’s level and only 1 K/D” etc.). And there is HUGE problem about this because every assault guy (which I hope someday will have the opportunity to be) is pretty scared to push or move his ass few meters in front of me. I always have to push first and die stupidly so the rest of the team might decide to follow and win some space on the map. If I want to win most of my public games I have to use my mic every… EVERY game and get insulted by ppl that just don’t care half the time. Thank god I’m high level and most of them listen to me when I decide to bother them with some knowledge and tactics.
I’ve played FPS games for more than 15 years and this is the first game I decided to invest my time on in which I’m seeing such bad team play in public. Might be because I played Quake games all my life and there aren’t different roles but damn… even in Planetside 2 ppl try to fill the gaps more than here.
Maybe only once a month or something I get complemented for my endeavors to keep whole team alive and healthy. To be honest, those are the times when the only thing coming to my mind is: “I wish you tried to do this for 10 months in a row! I doubt you would be still playing the game.”
If you are saying that medics have too much incentive to be medics… OMG… There aren’t any!!! It seems this is still not enough for those random guys…
Totally disagree, medics are absolutely crucial to a team. Support XP encourages more people to play medic. You wouldn’t think twice if a Fragger / Rroxy had 10k XP, so why complain when an Aura gets it?
To address some of the complaints I saw:
Regarding the medics role and how essential it is, I know medics are important and having an incentive to play one is good. But honestly there has to be a better way to promote medic other then this since this is just undeserved IMO.
Regarding the Q and E, it was a generalization of what they are basically doing. Sure there is more involved believe me I know I play a medic a lot but the point is they are getting all this XP (which before someone says I know it isn’t important) for dropping a healing station and running at a downed teammate reviving him and a 2nd later dying or returning to the station. “There were near combat, staying alive.” I honestly thought they were at spawn K’ing out (joke).
My big problem honestly, isn’t pressing Q and E. My problem is after they did it, they get a shit ton of points cause a random Rhino just mowed down an entire team, health insurance is the problem. IMO they need to change it’s rules a bit from all XP gained to maybe 2 specific XP types or something else since they get so much XP from standing in a corner (Just an analogy to not doing a lot, why do I have to explain it).
About the assists thing, you are right. I completely forgot about assists but honestly do you really think one can get so many points from assists and if he got so many points from assists he probably be raging in chat about the kill steals which he didn’t.
She deserves it . reason I don’t play medic anymore is the dumb paddles glitch, wonky rez box, and dancing dead bodies. Sawbonez is my third most played, and he would be second if being a medic wasn’t such a pain in this buggy game.
Seeing how exp really doesn’t have that much of an impact on anything, I’d say meehh to that
