something I noticed with the US flag in ET.

I haven’t checked in game yet, just very fuzzy screenshots, but, if you look at the supposed american flag, it looks like the american flag, but it isn’t really the american flag. I only looked at the limbo menu and the command posts so far, but I am going to check back with the flag patch on the Allies uniform, and the flag when you capture spawns.

actually after closer inspection, the patch on the uniform, the flag for forward spawns, and the flag on the command posts is actually accurate to the US flag in the 1940’s, except the logo to designate the allied team on the limbo menu has 11 stripes, and not 13.

In ET, since it is set in 1942 or something like that, there is supposed to be 13 stripes and 48 stars, because Alaska and Hawaii didn’t exist as states yet, and I counted 8 stars in a row, and 6 stars in a column, and the stars are in a straight non staggering pattern, unlike the present day one, which is pretty accurate in the game itself.

I’m surprised that Splash Damage and Nerve got that correct, because I know of some companies who put the modern day US flag in a WWII game, and I know of some modders who try to add Canada into any WWII game, and used the modern flag as opposed to the other older one, but that doesn’t matter.

OHHH from the picture that you have, that must be the select spawn icon from the limbo menu. Either the flagpost is out of the way, and thus 6 stars are missing, or the flag is just wrong in the limbo menu, because your picture had 6 missing stars, and the choose teams icon has 2 missing stripes.

who really gives about it, i mean if you go looking for stuff like that while you’re playing the game, you’re likely to get your head blasted off by some nit with a panzerfaust. :armadillochase:
