Stopwatch is just horrible ATM. People leaving right at mid-game, making the matches incredibly unbalanced. Why would anyone ever switch teams? So you could get fewer credits? Why not just automatically shuffle people and reward them 200 extra credits if they stay through the entire game and penalize those that rage-quit? Pub-games needs to have penalties. People leave all the time and rarely does anyone ever take their spot in time to make the games fair. As soon as any team drop even 1 player, it’s unbalanced because of the small team sizes (not counting 8vs8).
Something has to be done against leavers on normal games
No…? The beauty of casual mode games is the ability to jump in and out whenever.
It is ruining normal games. Just now I played a stopwatch game 7 vs 2. Nobody wanted to switch because why should they? 500 as a first win bonus and extra for winning. There is absolutely no incentive to ever switch teams to balance and the vote option is just hilarious; it never passes. Why would you ever switch to a losing team? So because of this we had to endure a 15 minute match with unbalanced teams just so everybody could get their credits.
I agree with Ghosthree3 in that the beauty of casual pubs is being able to jump in and out of games, but I also see your point. Perhaps there should be a reward, in the form of credits, for switching teams for balance? And then a small credit reduction for those who leave early. Maybe a 500 “good sport” award and a -250 “bad sport” bonuses.
Any sort of malus or restrictions on public games will make people completely stop playing that mode or the game itself. Positive bonus is fine but negative cutoff hurts the game and it still needs to grow.
I don’t even see the point of leaving…
Win or Lose u get the same Credits and XP if im correct… theres no Win/Loss and Kill/Death Ratio too check anyway… so even if we get spawncamped i normally just stay & watch youtube vids anyway for dem credits.
I don’t think people who “random” leave is a problem, people who leave to a suposed “losed” game is kind of a problem because you end in a 7 vs 3 situations lol.
The matchmaking is quick in my opinion and when someone leave you don’t have to wait 1 years before someone took he’s place but when it come to more than 1 player is kind of problematic ahah…
The only issue with people leaving early from pubs is the wait time on getting new people into the action. Right now it’s a pretty long wait to get into a match after you’ve selected your server or one has been selected for you.
Don’t you already get a credit penalty for imbalanced teams? Or was that changed?
missions might be responsible to some extent. esp the mission to: if u dont actually like playing that game mode. You need to do that mission to get more missions but that is the limit to the investment u have to that game.
For example: Some dislike playing SW mode in pubs with randoms. For obvious reasons. if i get a mission to do SW im just there to get the win to get mission credits - then its time to leave to get back to obj.

The problem isn’t that people are leaving after a game is finished, but in the middle of a game. The mission requires you to play through the whole game, or at least till the end. The issue comes up when people leave a match in the middle, such as during half time as op mentioned.
They most likely leave because they need wins for the “Win X Stopwatch games” mission. If Team A dominated Team B and Team A finished the objectives really fast - Team B might feel they cannot win and they actually save time by just leaving and finding a new stopwatch game than staying to fight an uphill battle.
“Win X Stopwatch games” missions need to go away as it only promotes server-hopping for those people looking to get stopwatch wins for their missions. “Play X Stopwatch games” is fine.

I do this, if the first round is a complete loss with no chance of winning the following round I just leave. Waste of my time to keep playing a long game mode that I hate if I’m not even gonna get my missions done. If xp missions weren’t bugged I’d consider staying but since they are…
I can play for 3 hours tops, sometimes I manage to cramp in 6 missions. Sadly a lot of missions have “win” as condition, I can’t afford to waste time on a lost game.
If I only have “play” missions, I’ll even switch to the losing side to make it interesting
“win”-missions are harmful to the game, as there are no winners without the same amount of people who did not win. Just “play” is way better, there is no excuse for not switching to the losing team.

This is exactly why I warned them not to add any “Win missions” way before they revamped the missions for the open beta.
People either stack for a guaranteed win, leave servers if they won’t get the win, or won’t vote for auto-balance because they are on the winning team.
The other problem with leavers…
They create spawncamping when they leave. It’s a serious problem.
All it takes are two or three people to leave the game and now you are pushed back into your spawn. New players join in, see that they are getting spawncamped and then they leave as well.
And it takes about 40-60 seconds for a new player to connect. It becomes an endless cycle of people loading and leaving.
They need to fiddle with the spawn timers.
Stacked teams should have a penalty to respawning (For example, 25 seconds per wave turns 35 or 45 seconds a wave in a severe team imbalance). They already lower the imbalanced team’s spawn wave… but honestly that just promotes more camping since you can just kill the same guys over and over with no real penalty if they kill you.
Hopefully this can help force back spawncamping and help keep some players to STAY in the game after they load.
AUTOMATIC TEAM BALANCE IS THE ANSWER…
If you join pubs, then its a necessary evil that you need to face !
pubs are automatically team balanced every new game?
auto team balance while game is in mid progress annoying - best leave it as a vote. If the vote is declined then the server dies as the imbalanced team leaves.
at worst if there is an auto re-balance at least give a warning that teams are imbalanced before auto reshuffle - many dont even know the teams were stacked until after its pointed out to them
But mostly: Remove “win X” missions.
