I acknowledge there are cheats and hacks (scripting within the limits of the game and PB cvars is excluded from the definition of hacks)
I acknowledge that there are players better than me who will be able to pull off moves that I can’t
I generally don’t equate #2 with #1 until someone proves to my satisfaction that the person in question is cheating
Proof IMO is a PB screenshot showing undisputed evidence that a cheat is being used (e.g., player traces from a wall hack – not just a bright screenshot) or a demo that shows aimbot-like behavior (e.g., snapping to headshots, tracking thru walls – above and beyond what I would expect from a player that is simply good at the game)
I don’t really see why that is such an unreasonable burden of proof.
Guess what, its called the PRONE KEY! And yes, its instantaneous…for everyone…including you…
All Ironman has to do is record a demo of himself on a server he hosted, and in the demo, record himself going prone. Then replay the demo in the 3rd person.
LOL. You would be much more amusing if you at least tried to support your argument with facts. Notice folks… he completely ignores the actual evidence, and instead resorts to belittling remarks. Classic troll, but far to obvious. Face it IRON_MAN, you are a failure even as a troll. Proper trolling requires subtlety. Furthermore, an expert troll simply lights the fire, and lets the others do the flaming. Posting all the time to keep your troll threads going is a sure sign of a rank amateur.
Since you response was such an utter failure, I’ll give you another chance:
I did not make any attempt to “convice [sic] someone that this cheat is a sympton [sic] of a mod”, because:
there is no evidence for such a cheat (since prone is already instant by design)
the mod that is different (etpro) actually slows down the prone process.
if it were an intended mod behavior, it woudln’t be a cheat.
Now if you would like to convince us that there is such a cheat, try to do the following:
identify how long (in game time) it is supposed to take between the time the server receives the prone command, and the players bounding box is changed to prone size. I’ll give you some hints:
the commands start being processed in src/game/g_active.c:ClientThink_real.
if reading C code is too much trouble, try a g_debugbullets, a demo, and low timescale.
the player animation is not important, since it has nothing to do with hit detection
identify how much faster the cheaters do this. A demo might help here too.
for bonus points, identify how they achieve this.
Really, it would be nice if you would put a little more effort into your trolling before SD comes to their senses and bans you again.
