As you already know, there are no control options in the game that allow a player to go prone instantly. If you must talk, say something that does not make you look like someone who uses an instant prone cheat, or just look like a dink. Be nice. Take a bath daily. Pray regularly. Eat your vegetables.

Kiddo, I understand that your immaturity compulsively causes you to try to put down someone who says they have done anything, but it just reveals yout true character to say that just because I killed someone they must have had a lower ping (lower???) or were inexperienced, which makes no sence anyway, since a lower ping is a benefit. Ironman, post a demo showing this so called “prone cheat” in action. You claim to see it so often, I think we can all expect one posted in a few days.
Our society is based on evidence. You cannot make accusations or assumptions without the data to back it up. Your here to convince us that these hacks exist, we are not here to convince you they don’t.
By showing us a demo you will:
1.) clear up any misconceptions about said point
2.) Help to prove or disprove your point
Although I would be OVERWHELMINGLY surprised if you posted, im not counting on it, based on your previous cheating accusations. You like to accuse, but can’t provide any evidence supporting your points.

IRON_MAN, there is no “prone hack”. The animation you see of the other player going prone is different to what they see. To you, when you go prone, it looks like it takes a bit of time. To anyone else, you appear to go prone almost instantly. It’s always been that way. The problem is a lot of players are using prone in firefights nowadays, as it certainly does put the enemy off.
Also, not wishing to inflame another argument, but you do realise your last sentence almost perfectly describes you? You constantly lie and belittle other people. That seems to be your sole purpose in being here. :???:

In etmain (and most likely shrub) prone is always instant. The players hitbox changes from full size to prone size in a single moment (see src/game/bg_pmove.c:PM_CheckProne). I seem to remember bani mentioning that in etpro, the hitbox actually lerps from full size to prone size.
Since hit detection is done using axis aligned bounding boxes, what the model does is completely irrelevant.

Actually in etmain, there is a bug in antilag that makes prone not exactly instant. In effect, it is actually faster than instant, operating backwards in time. :moo:

IRON_MAN, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but you’re not quite as much fun as you were last time you were here. You defeat your own arguments with your own ignorance too easily. You give up and resort to insults too quickly. You’re too eager to behave as you accuse others of behaving. Pretty much convinced you are indeed the same I R O N M A N who provided us with such entertainment last time, but this time you seem to have lost some of your comedy value. Maybe it’s just lack of originality.
Keep trying though, I especially like the bits where you pretend to be all wise and knowledgable, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. More of that please.

In this thread IRON_MAN talks about a “prone hack”. OK, that’s worth a chuckle, as we all know what he’s refering to, and we all know it’s not a hack. But then, after he’s proven wrong, he immediately switched to “insult” mode.
The I R O N M A N of old would’ve gone on to explain why this “prone hack” exists, how it works, who uses it, and why, gradually digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole as his arguments became more ridiculous, thereby providing us with even greater comedy value.
He’s not doing that this time. Shame

So let me get this straight, you’re saying we all use these cheats, and all other players see them? I’ve been playing ET since it’s release and I’ve NEVER seen a person cheating, apart from when they get kicked by PB or ETPro for it. Yes I’ve seen players go prone, but I made the wild assumption that they had pressed the prone key. What is so unusual about asking for a demo to prove there’s a cheat for it? We’ve never seen it, you’re saying it’s everywhere, so prove it.
(This is where you say you don’t need to prove anything, and we’re childish sissys).
CMPunk, we’ve challenged him repeatedly to provide demos of cheats (that he’s caught), and he never has.
He posted someone else’s demo once, showing a wallhack, which some of us had already seen and besides which no-one’s ever denied there are cheats anyway, just not all over the place like he claimed.
He also posted a demo of a “panzer hack” which showed a Panzer firing in less than a second. He was humiliated when it was pointed out to him that the Panzer fires in 0.75 seconds. Mind you, that one was good for a laugh cos it was his demo, and showed what a crap player he is. Not that playing ability validates or invalidates anyone’s opinion, but he’s often claimed to be a good player (and has done so again in this thread), but his demo proved otherwise.
I think IRONMAN is right, I’ve found the prone hack. It’s built into ET so it can never be detected. You can see in the following screenshot how to activate it.
He’s not even trying anymore. Trying to pretend that going prone is a hack, and there’s no command for it. That’s just too easy to disprove. We want a challenge!!!
