I’m here with another rather sad story. I’ve been having terrible ping issues with my ISP as of late and I think it’s cleared up so I go back into ET =) I join this server that’s like “AOD Triple XP” or something similar. Don’t worry, it’s an ETpro server, though we know how some of them can be. :wink:

Alright so anyway we were “Holding the Axis back” on Railgun. Yes, another way of saying spawncamping but it matters not. Some AOD guy dies right next to me, so I take out my needle and as I’m moving to him he begins to spam “I need a medic!” and I don’t just mean he hits it once or twice. Try six or seven times.

Now I have to be honest, I HATE when people spam that in general especially when I’m a medic already on the way. I get it a lot when I’m in mid flight for my jump-raise. It makes me wonder… WHY are you spamming that if you know I’m about to freakin raise you? The camera orients itself to face me so you KNOW I’m coming! Stop fucking spamming for a medic because I already know you’re down!

So this time I decided, eh screw it. I’m not gonna raise this guy. So I put my needle away and take out my gun and move on. Eventually an airstrike takes me about along with his limbo body. Immediately I get this response… “STUPID FUCK!” so I reply with “I don’t raise spammers =/” and then not 3 seconds later he replies “WELL FUCK YOU THEN” and kicks me.

While it was a little frustrating because I was just getting into the ET groove, I just had to laugh to myself. Now, I know it’s their server and all but come on. “I’m gonna kick this guy because he didn’t raise me that one time at the Axis spawn and in turn I couldn’t effectively spawn camp!”

That rant turned into one longer than I thought I’d make but I feel better now. I guess that clown forgot his rubber red nose, and he was a little agitated. :uhoh:

I hate esp. players who have some 1337 binds for their voice chats with modifed text and spam it in global chat instead of using teamchat.

I also just gib meds who rambo while im lying close by… obv depends on situation and position but 50/50 chance theyll attempt to take on 3 peeps and ignore me.

Hehe, reminds me of when I was an allied medic on Goldrush recently. We had a complainer on the team, and I mean someone who filed complaint on anyone. I accidentally TKed him and got filed on; he then TKs me some time after (by accident). I don’t file on him. He, on the other hand, proceeds to file on me again, and on someone else I play with often. Eventually we get to Goldrush and I switch to medic after we break open the bank. He wasn’t just a complainer, but a bit of a spammer too (not in any truly extreme way, tho). Which means he kept on spamming “I need a medic” several times in a row when he got shot. Which I, to my delight, proceeded to respond to with “No.” :blah:

“Need a medic!”

“Negative.”

“Need a medic!”

“No!”

Well… I had a problem the other night where… I teamkilled this engineer like two times on accident and another was a tkrevive on the same guy and he filed all 3 times! So the next time he teamkilled me I was sure to file a complaint on him except I didn’t get a complaint popup! It seems like some complaint systems are based on admins (who can complain everyone, but nobody can complain on them) Or medics who tk-raise can be filed on, but rifle nades can’t? I’ve seen some wacky stuff.

You can control complaints per weapon. Many people disable complaints for things like airstrikes and mines.

Well yeah I didn’t mean it to sound like that’s what WAS happening. It just seemed like it cause anytime an admin/ref would tk me I couldn’t complain, but anytime I tked them, I was filed against.

And yeah I know one can control complaints per weapon… it’s just silly to turn them off against things like “Flame Throwers” and “Rifle Nades”. I can understand Airstrikes, Artillery and Mines… everything else? Come on now.

They used force cvar to set cg_complaintpopup to 0 and the other guy was just smart enough to realise you could still file a complaint even without the popup?

OMG yeah, 4 “I need ammo” in the bottom of the screen is much much more annoying then hearing a retared voice say I need ammo 30 times in a row…
