My TF2 hours recently overtook my ETQW so I’m going to take this. TF2 has a large casual element and the Scout is one of the more difficult classes to play. Hes underrepresented on pubs but makes up 1/3rd of a competitive 6v6 team and will frequently outfrag the non-combo Solly/demo. On pubs a good scout will still come top of the scoreboard on maps without too many spammable chokepoints because he completely shuts down 1/3rd of the other classes, has options against most of the rest and can always, always disengage if the fight starts becoming unfavourable.

TF2 also has damage pop-ups the way Brink does and I’ve certainly caught myself reading them and removing my attention from my crosshair and messing up my next shot. On the Brink video they looked too large and distracting. I think they’d do better to be transparent, or have the option of making them appear in a fixed location, like 2 inches below the crosshair.

This one applies to player speed too. The light might be the white, but mid grey and heavy black are just a no go for PC players.

Now I have to say I use the damge pop ups in TF2 and find them help full rather than a hindrance, then again I am not some super comp player. I dont know, however I am sure there will be an option to turn the feature off.

It has nothing to do with competition, I don’t like them in general, not on my screen, not on my opponent’s screen.

Does the basis of your opinion, target tracking, also mean you dislike standard hit indicators? I don’t see an actual gameplay difference beyond screen space usage.

Health bar over the opponent heads:
Can’t we place trust on our ears and eyes anymore, mostly ears.
I think this is a very unnecessary aid. Strange too.
Or is this a console feature only?

Red hue around enemy’s
Make the teammates obvious.
The other guy who is obviously not your teammate is the enemy :tongue:
Or if we must, I rather see (optional) forced enemyskins/colors or even just forced teamskins then these red glows…
they are so ugly and Marvel, sorry.

XP pop ups floating about
Can we turn it off?
Can you see your teammates XP pops also?

More Questions if you don’t mind, anyone?
-Does Brink have a staminabar?
-Does Brink have ingame (audio) medals? Killingspree ect UT style sort off.
-Do the weapons have an alt-fire option? If yes, All or some?
-Is judgement in games becoming a thing of the past?

Sorry if these are already answered in this thread but it’s too hot to
read it all.

You mean hit sounds? Hit sounds can’t be used to trace targets.

And sorry to do so, but I’m going to quote an earlier post of mine here…

Something to remember is that this was a specifically targeted demo; even at the time of E3 there were several significant differences between the proper game that we’ve continued to work on and the E3 demo.

Well it was done for W:ET & ET:QW by the community, so if it’s not in the game it shouldn’t be a big deal, even if brink!=(etqw || w:et)

Ah I got it now, no, I don’t like that hit indicator either now I think about it.

Different story for consoles, they might need more clarity and all, but a no no for pc.

can we see some PC footage PLEASE.

How the hell the PC part of the forum can discuss speed, accuracy of the weapons, damage, etc. etc. when all we have is watching clueless consolers struggling their way to aim up and throw a grenade.
