some cam footage from the brink booth
Nice video, decent sound quality - thx for sharing. Ed is cool. The revive syringe and letting the receiver decide when to come back, seems like a new and interesting grip on things in shooters.
Yeah decent video, i got the sense that the guy just wanted to shout “dammit shutup and let me play”
The heavy looked awesome
My instant thought was oh crap a juggernaut and my action would have been to dash behind cover
ah so thats why u guys used the xp pt comin out when u hit some1. Its somewhat like tf2s hit dmg. but with xp instead. So u know if ur hitin some1 or not.
That was a great video, thanks for posting
gotta say it looks pretty fun here, moreso than in the official vid.
Hitsounds=must.
Well at least for me that is.
When playing tf2 for the first time I had the feeling I missed something and after I found the hitsound option I knew what, lol.
needs to be at least 1.5x faster overall for PC, likely more but hard to tell from a video, the models almost seem to run in slowmotion.
i’d prefer size of bloodspatter instead of xp floats indicating how good the bullet hits. but the game missing blood at this point and definitely in the tradeshow environment is to be expected. i’m totally used to hitsounds but kinda think they are a little too helpful. i mainly aim using hitsounds as a guide when shooting at one pixel sized moving targets hiding behind stuff shooting in the distance, and they give you a very good idea about how much health your opponent has left with no real effort on your part. i’m not against them obviously but it might be interesting to play without them again for a while [turning them off just puts me at a disadvantage, and i need every fair advantage i can get against the beasts i play with (i get beaten badly a lot as it is)].
It may well be slow, but I think i’ll at least reserve judgement until I see someone with some movement skill behind them running around with a mouse and keyboard and not a controller.
Pretty much agree with this.
Its one of the reasons I want to see two skilled teams going at it. It will answer many questions for us.
From what I’ve seen most of that footage is from new ppl playing on consoles? controllers? That and playing as the medium body type might the reason why its slow. Also have we seen light footage yet?
I don’t think it moves all that slow. The movement speed itself isn’t that bad, it’s the turning and aiming which is slow, and that is due to using a controller, not a fault of the game. Could the speed be boosted? I could see it maybe being a little faster, but it’s not slow like how some of you are making it out to be…
We will need to see PC footage, with proper fast, responsive controls of a mouse.
All this guy needs is a higher sensitivity and a better understanding of how the game works and this game will work much more fluently. I’d like to see a competitive match between two human squads. Killing AI might be good to get the hang of the UI and controls but seeing this game shine in the hands of some good players it what’s really going to seal the deal for me.
Hopefully the player speed will be customizable in privates, if not hpefully the light body type is fast.
