some bugs? akimbo/commandposts/level4hvy/scores

on most maps building building a command post as axis is quite useless. it still let u w8 for 30 secs even tough u built it … so its quite useless to defend it unless u want to get some engi XP.

Also the akimbo kills dont show up in the stats, making it less fun to play with.

Another anoying thing is the fact that when u reach level 4 as soldier and u walk around with panzer, after firing a round its logic u switch back to machinegun to finnish of the others as ur panzer has to reload abit. But instead of going straight to the machine gun it selects the grenades instead automaticly and when u press 3 it first gets out the panzer and after pressing 3 again u finally get your machine gun. this all takes alot of time so maybe it would be easier to just put machinegun on bank2 (as it replaces the pistol) and it automaticly selects machine gun instead of the slow grenades.

And sometimes for some weird reason the stat counter doesnt reset after a new campaign so after one map (radar 10 mins) people have 90 kills and 70 deaths, doesnt make sense :slight_smile:

If you don’t have fun blasting someone’s face in with akimbo pistols, then you’re simply not enough of a sociopath to play RTCW.

The command post increases your charge rate, which is that bar on the right side that is used by class specific skills. This means Field Ops can call more airstrikes, medics can dish out more medpacks, and soldiers can fire panzers more often.

Some maps you can spawn where the CP is built by selecting its flag in the limbo menu. On some maps (radar, for example), this can be incredibly advantageous.

By the time you have akimbo pistols you probably have plenty of other kills to be missing anything. If you’re that worried, stick with the standard SMG or swap your akimbo ones for a single pistol in the limbo menu. This is a bug, but I don’t think its that big of an issue.

The panzer issue is probably with how the game is configured to switch you from your panzer to your sidearm after you fire. Since at level 4 you no longer have a weapon in slot 2, it “auto-switches” you to the next combat capable weapon, which are the grenades. You can try turning off the auto-switch option and see if that works, or just never, ever, miss a close range panzer shot. Again, you can always swap the MP40 for a standard pistol, or the akimbos if you have L4 light weapons.

The stats thing is a bug too. But you’re not a k:d ratio or xp whore, so you don’t really care about that, right? =)

pfft…

there are 2 bugs in my posts and imo its never wrong to make a record about that.

And for the panzer thingie sometimes its vital to get an instant switch to smg incase they are attacking from multiple directions.

and for the cmd post, i think that on railgun it also gives u 20 sec respawn instead of 30, i assumed this should work for all maps, so thats my bad

Axis get a 20 second respawn time on railgun since they are the attacking team. Allies will be spawning in every 30 seconds since they’re on D. On every other map Axis is defending and Allies are attacking, so they have 30 second and 20 second respawn times respectively.
