Solo player be careful on rank mod

This game mod don’t care about solo players who also want to fight just for a case, put in team players one side and just find some random players at the other side, no balance build in to the game what so ever.

when people team up they just get so much advantage on team work, and for solo players? oh well a dirty lost.
so much motivation and so much friendly yeah? SD? well play, 10/10 play dirty

I’ve tried solo queuing, but honestly everyone else is teaming up so you may aswell do it too.

Ranked is horribly unbalanced regardless of how many people you queue up with.
There just aren’t enough people in it, and the way ranked is calculated currently allows for massive imbalance.

agree that matchmaker should try to match solo players with solo players and not with groups of 5 who play together all day long…oh well…I guess we have to blame the fact that DB has such low population. I’m actually happy for getting into a match lul

Factoring in only wins and losses means that players can be easily boosted or dragged down by other players. As it is, your rank is largely based on luck instead of skill. And with ranks that can be so easily influenced by luck, balance is ruined as well

Yeah, wish there was a solo only queue. I would use it even if it meant longer waits.

So? With a player population as small as this, where teams can change, basing your entire rank on wins or losses make no sense. I’m not saying team performance should have no affect on your rank, but sometimes you get stuck with a team so clueless no amount of communication or teamwork will help.
Your own personal rank should not be based on that of your team’s rank. It just leads to ranks becoming skewed and eventually meaningless.

Most screenshots on here and reddit are usually people carrying on a little too much, but this one is genuinely not balanced.

Question, does the super stacked team gain rank in this instance? Because they shouldn’t, at all.

Can you stay on topic please? We already discussed your topic in your topic and I wont repeat my points.

This topic dont talk about how ranked should be based on solo performance in a team based shooter. It’s about the difficulty of solo players to compete in a team based shooter, which IMO is totally true. Teams have an edge. So I wanted to emphasize this by saying that…

Thats why its always solo/duo and 5vs5 in every normal game with ranked mode, unless the community that game have is huge (like overwatch, where there is dynamic que but it almost always put 3/4/5 man premades with other premades).

At high golds and above its pretty much impossible to balance premades against solo players, there isnt enough players around (and even if there were you will reach a point where its impossible).

When we first time had ranked premades vs randoms didnt work out, why does SD think it will work this time ? You shouldnt be forced to form a team just to compete at higher ranks, thats fucking insane, if i wanted to do that i would in a proper team while taking part in normal cups and not farm randoms in ranked. As soon as people farm out those aura cards/trinket ranked will be as dead as it was first time around, i guess people that run full premades will be happy playing against the same 4 premades constantly.

ELO is fine in chess and 1vs1 games. It’s adaptation to team based games will never be perfect.

But if I tell you it’s placebo, then the effect would vanish and it wouldn’t be placebo anymore. Placebo need to be placebo to placebo.

That’s funny. Hothead and balans used to be on some of the best DB teams in the world, so not only did you get matched against a 5 stack with higher avg ranks but it was a 5 stack of under ranked players too (last I saw both of them were too 1 or 2 ranks).

This is why I actually preferred it when you could only duo or solo queue. Ideally there would be a ranked solo queue and a separate dynamic queue but im guessing there aren’t enough players to split people between two queues like that.

I really don’t get why are you salty about that. Ranked should be about team work and communication and try your best and use every advantage. You can’t complain about that people play the game how it is intended to be. If you want to play solo with some chance for team work, there is casual.

I agree though that the matchmaking was pretty bad for you since the solo queue team should consist of better individual players than the premade one.

You see the problem is, you are asked to put faith on something that is deemed fair for the sake of a chance to progress. When you see what you get matched against, you lose faith in what they tell you and you begin to question… and, empirical proof of it gets presented. That’s why queue dodging became practice because players want to progress, without faith in the system; and the prescribed progression is deemed unfair if you’re going up against someone outside your bracket.

There’s just so many broken mechanics in the game right now that Season 3 seems to get rushed out of SD’s development mill without the devs really putting enough thought in what they learned in Season 2. Knowing that the player base is insufficient to guarantee matches, perhaps a different approach to getting ranked should have been implemented in Season 3.
