So what's cookin'?

I just had a long, heartfelt post typed up, talking how I left ET somewhere in december, about how it was one of my favorite games, about how amazing it was to be able to see tactics develop as time progressed (I’m not usually much of a multiplayer), about how much fun it was to visit rtcw.co.uk ET campaign and other servers and to see the same regular nicks appear, making actual, tremendously fun teamplay a reality, etc, but it seems internet exploder had other plans.

Anyway, the point of my post was to ask what was going on with ET right now. I just quit playing somewhere in december because I felt gameplay was sort of stuck in a rut, and though I had a look again somewhere late January I think it was, it seemed to me little had changed. The servers I used to visit were nearly empty, and on others I tried it seemed to me the game was still played much in the same way as it was when I left. Allies moving the tank to the Fuel Dump in the first ten minutes and getting stuck forthe remaining twenty, or not being able to move the tank past the tank barriers on Gold Rush. What I wanted to ask was whether anything’s really changed in the meantime. Are many people still playing or am I likely to find my favorite servers deserted again? Are the tactics still mostly the same? Have many people switched to other mp games? Etc. In short, what’s cookin’?

well, the tactics are stil mainly the same, but i think the amount of noobs has gone down drasticly.

Also Etpro has changed old tactics to new ones…

For instance on battery the backdoor is dynomitable, so the main battle wont be up on the beach but more or less at the back…

Now that the game source is available, there are also a couple of decent mods in the works.

m8. It just sounds like your playing on all the wrong servers.

Take a look at me ETPro 3 Thread for some decent ones…
