So this new cheat

(AirborneAsian) #61

Oh… Lol, we were in the same game, just a few min ago

(god1) #62

Funny how many people get scared because a cheater takes their name since the bans are not given out based on your in-game username but your Steam ID. Thought this was common sense but I guess it’s a case of #justf2pthings

(AirborneAsian) #63

I know that, but my brain was going all round’ the place, as I was rushing. 0_o

(HeroToZero) #64

Pretty sure the name change is just to fuck with people and maybe make it harder to vote kick them. and yeah lol seen you round a few times you’re pretty good.

(AirborneAsian) #65

I shouldn’t be typing to every single person that replies, but I just have to say. I seen this other hacker two weeks ago, and his name was the same all round’. He was teaming up with another hacker with the same group name. No matter how much I tried to kick em’, it never works. And thanks for that special heart warming complement. Just sayin’, the scores I achieved were pretty much below average for my type of play style. I usually get ~7000-9000. And I have the papers to prove it.

(HeroToZero) #66

yeah I think they have a way to block people from kicking them, best way to combat is to just leave. haha ill trust ya no need for papers.

(Conqelson) #67

Been playing all night or trying to, it’s a constant struggle to find/keep a server without someone using this hack. Game is unplayable until a hotfix blocks it.

(Edzer) #68

Saw it today. It’s not that they have a way to block kicks, it’s that people just don’t vote on kicks. Votekicking system needs a serious rework.

(AirborneAsian) #69

Random fact coming up for an unknown reason. Australia Rules! They had even invented WiFi.

@EdSir I was trying to vote kick everytime, but no matter how hard I try, the button doesn’t work. The vote kick interference on the top left doesn’t show up. It’s not that people are too lazy to vote, or that they are too engrossed in the battle to notice, it’s just that the hackers blocked it.

(Corvo) #70

I saw it last night on a non-competitive objective server. I didn’t even realise what it was at the time, I just reported it and mentioned the fact that it changed names constantly and even took my own name and put a ‘.’ at the end of it.

When I saw the thread on reddit today, it all made sense, and was most certainly the same bot.

I don’t get emo about botters, I just leave the server, report them, and move on. But a special ‘get f*cked’ to the guys who were on the botters team, knew he was botting and STILL placed turrets down to kill us on our spawn point. What level of scumbag do you need to be to do that? People are ruining a game which I hope we both legitimately enjoy playing, and you manage to make it even worse. Well done.

Are you sure he was on your team? You can’t kick enemy team’s players. If that really is the case however I might have encountered a different hack with the same 1-hitko.

… He was in the enemy team. But I seen other comments where people had vote kicked a hacker from the enemy team. I’m such an idiot at not noticing this.

@AirborneAsian 1) I was in a match with one of these cheaters at the same time you were editing your post. I sympathise.

  1. Cheaters mostly appear in competitive play. In competitive play you can’t teamswap (even in the lobby) votekick or voteshuffle. Was your game competitive? If so there’s no special antikick hack in place here, just good-old fashioned obstructive game features.

Edit: I chose to report the guy via his steam account since clicking them from the scoreboard lets you view steamID and copypaste the unique URL. Sadly this only confirmed that it was a fresh account made specifically to cheat with and wasn’t going to cost him anything.

No, I don’t play competitive. The reason is because the queue time is too long. I play objective mode. I had read other posts that hackers usually come in competitive play, and I can see why. Currently in my near 100 hours on this game, I only seen 3 hackers so far. 2 in 1 match, and 1 which was about 45 min ago (I think).

(Eox) #75

Cheats changing your username to confuse the server are nothing new. Those are pretty common among cheaters in Valve games as far as I know. The guy who created that software did not really invented anything IMO.

(Vexed) #76

There has been a horrible influx of cheaters since the Redeye patch. It’s pretty horrible trying to play competitive at the moment and I’ve always hated the way that a single extremely skilled player can completely destabilise a server outside of comp, so I’m looking at taking a break from the game for a few days despite how hyped I was for Redeye.

It is regrettable, but it can’t be helped. Hopefully this spike will all blow over soon and I can make a triumphant return before Redeye enters the rotation and smoke becomes pointless through all the IR spam.

(Ardez1) #77

All of this information has been passed on to Nexon. Thank you for reporting this. In the future, please report any knowledge of hacking/hackers directly to Nexon Support. Posting the links on the forums does nothing besides advertise the hacks and draw more people to them.

I am closing this thread. Thank you.

(AirborneAsian) #78

Hey guys, AirborneAsian here from the news. Recently a lot of people are discussing this new aimbot hack that kills you in an instant, and changes their name to the last person they kill a random person. Unfortunately in the end of the match the hacker got my name. But, there is a upside to it, at least. The name has a dot (.) next to the name. But maybe people will report that player and maybe the staff ban me accidentally. Anyone seen that hack, and when? The hackers even implemented a hack in such a way that you cannot vote kick him/her/shim. Thanks.
Btw, they really need to fix/change their anti-cheat soon, so everyone can be happy and breathe freely.

What’s more, I seen people say that the developers of the game only look at the WarChest forums. This is true? And why?

(fraggyb) #79

That’s why I don’t even bother reporting.
[/quote]

Don’t bother complaining about cheaters then, ever.

(Sinsanatis) #80

I’ve seen, just recently, someone using hacks that as soon as he kills you, his name is automatically changed to yours but with a period at the end. So for example, I’m “Sinsanatis”. He kills me and becomes “Sinsanatis.” Then he kills “Duck” and becomes “Duck.” This is surely going to be a big problem
