yep just saw this ingame as well and of course nobody would kick him on the other team, it is pretty sad that the cheat detection in DB doesn’t catch this stuff immediately and the burden is on the players to take screenshots and go report it through a website rather than a quick report ingame option.

When they check in on cheaters, they check for accuracy, K/D and the like and ban the steam profile associated with those stats, and not by name.

I encountered one of these earlier tonight, the steam profile isn’t the same as the name they’re adopting - wouldn’t really worry about false positives from this in particular.

That cheat doesn’t change your steam profile. Submit a report with the steam profile and it will be easy to remove them.

I do not think they will ban people without investigating first and if they investigate they will know who is cheating and who isn’t. I have had people threaten me with reports plenty (even though I kind of suck) and I have not been banned.

You would think they would… but i have run into more and more cheaters. The player base is dropping and i can only assume it is because they cant stop these people. If they ban them they make another FREE account and do it again.

I always vote kick hackers, no matter what team. It usually makes the other team more friendly towards you as well. Anyone who votes no to kick a hacker is someone who only cares about winning. Winning is a nice bonus, but having a hacker carry you is not a good way to get to said bonus.

I took a bunch of screenshots of the name changing. Reminds me of some older cs hacks.

Sadly, one kid on the server said he has a private server which he researches these hacks on. Not a very bright idea.
