So no ET/ETQW/Brink type game on the horizon?

(General_Zod) #1

I’m not going to bash brink, it had it’s faults but at its heart it was like ET/ETQW, just a bad launch and things turned people off. And I know ID owns the ET rights so I’m not talking about a direct sequel, but I’d hate to think that splash damage thinks their model in previous games (class based, strong focus on accomplishing an obj) is not worthy of another go.

I just hate to think brink is the last game of this type.

I don’t think it is. I fully expect their PC F2P game to be the same class-based, assymetrical objective-based gameplay.

Maybe it will be something different entirely, but I would be somewhat surprised.

brink isn’t the last game of this type, etqw is.

Good, I really got tired of all the new topics about asking what the next game will be. At least this one asks about what the next game will not be

Exedore said something about Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty 40.000?

1: There’s absolutely nothing to suggest that the next game will or will not follow this premise.

2: They’re not going to announce the new game in a reply to a thread like this before an official announcement has been made.

3: Why not wait till they do announce something before deciding their next move is a bad one.

Nononono, it’s between the lines and the subliminal messages. Can’t you see it?!?!?!

2: They’re not going to announce the new game in a reply to a thread like this before an official announcement has been made.

Yet it’s always tempting to reply to a thread. I think Badman already has a post ready to reply with full details about the new game. Moar threads are needed to lure him out!

3: Why not wait till they do announce something before deciding their next move is a bad one.

Waiting takes so long!

etqw isn’t the last game of this type, et is.

(Setlec) #9

well, both games are equivalent, i guess… but brink isn’t nearly close to et or etqw, right?

(.Chris.) #10

Brink was trying to be more like ET as ET:QW wasn’t like ET with bigger maps, vehicles and such which some folk didn’t like at all.

(Indloon) #11

I remember react to ET:QW in idle( Old ET community ) forums.

The main reason why most of people didn’t like it was that the game had futuristic theme.

(YouAreGood) #12

et isn’t the last game of the type, in fact there was no such a game.

(Patriotqube) #13

nailed that one mate

(Runeforce) #14

et isn’t the last game of this type, team fortress is. :stuck_out_tongue: bla bla bla

(Exedore) #15

Then… don’t think that!
