that’s it, I’m not shocked or anything- I was just curious why this was added as an element to her psyche profile on a business model scale.
so- just curious- why is Nader a lesbian?
Social diversity in the game, it’s not a big thing if you don’t make it a big thing.
Like R5on11c said, it just states “her wife” no big deal, as long as it doesn’t enter Catherine Zeta-Jones from The Haunting’s 1999 remake territory of bad writing, I’d be rather annoyed. That said, she’s always cheering and snarky about her job blowing things up.
I can’t say I mind it, but it seems like a bit of a meaningless detail. It’s not any different from stating that let’s say, Fragger, is straight. It seems irrelevant. And I think it’s actually much more interesting for the player to interpret her character as gay or straight, rather than have it decided for the player.
they’re most likely showcasing the diversity of players, I remember the uproar when there were no females in Brink
Just wait for the first mercs that prefer wearing cart-ears and fur-tails to combat - if they insist to be cats born into a human body, you better allow them to marry whom/whatever they like. And let them fight your battles.
this is the best quote:
I completely agree- it was the fact that it was so ‘thrown in there,’ without adding anything to the game OR the character’s depth of personality (its a game- really). It is the same as stressing that one of the players is hetero or a philanderer or something further.
I think Aura personally looks trans-gender…
anyways, I would rather let the community go to town with their deviant art depictions of sexual activity rather than see it thrown up like so much uninteresting dribble on a character screen.
As one sociology professor once said: people love labels, but unfortunately they detract from the whole worth of a person. If you were given a litany/list of a person’s accolades the value of each label would be superseded by precious few terms.
He is a lawyer, a war hero, a philanthropist AND a criminal or AND (fill in the blank of non hetero-orientation).
What labels, it only says that she moved with her wive. It doesn’t even mention her sexual orientation. Aren’t you the one putting labels on her?

You heard it SD, give us a cat ear and fur tailed merc that says cat puns!
The bio pretty much states it, he’s not giving her a label that the game hasn’t flat out stated, that’s like saying Vasili is labeled as a brother.
I’m surprised this thread is still going on, to be honest.
Aside from useless posts such as this one.
Really? thanks for the laugh.[/quote]
Of course it’s implicit but there is no use of labels in the text. Besides, she could be bisexual or asexual for all we know. Such a silly thing to make a discussion of.

haha I think it is fun to discuss. Not in any way judgmentally either. Just interested to see what the perspective and motivation was. I had talked with a few devs from some other titles and they were talking about adding token varying sexual orientations explicitly in order to generate more market/interest or for some groups- shock value.
