So yeah. Is NGS dealing with cheaters lately? I see more and more of them in pub games. People with no playtime, free steam accounts with no games on them running around and having perfect knowledge of your position. Obviously it’s the free hack. And how trustworthy are in-game reports? Are GMs really looking at every one of them?
So how are NGS and the GMS dealing with cheaters?
I’ve never had too much of a bad experience with cheaters - I’ve seen maybe 2-3 in the past month or so, and I’ve recording and reported each one. Sadly, the GM’s aren’t allowed to actually say what action was taken against those you report and the reply I normally got was along the lines of “thanks for the report and evidence submitted, we’ll take it from here” (para-phrased, but you get the point).
I personally don’t know how the GM’s operate, but I wouldn’t image they are actively searching for cheaters - the system right now relies on the newly implemented report system. After all, it’s beta, and they want to test their new system to the max.
I’m sorry to hear you’re running into quite a few though; by the sound of your post, it seems to be a regular thing?
I know the GM’s do take cheating very seriously though, and cheating of any kind is not tolerated. And as always, they are listening for player feedback on how things can be improved, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to let them know!
I know it’s not much to go on, but this is as much as I know. Hope this helps!
I can definately say one thing and that there are more of them now than a while back in pubs.
Unfortunately many don’t know how to look for signs of hackers neither many probably care, since it’s only pubs. There are definately some strange occurrences or just some master players out there with their noob accounts.
It is pretty frequent. Obvious things like:
Me camping as Rhino/Aura/Whatever behind a corner. Not heartbeats, no further knowledge. People running straight on me and trying to knife without ever seeing me in the corner. Or people just knowing where all enemies come from and turning around in like 4-5 directions in just some seconds, sniping or simply shooting down 3 independent enemies.
And I can’t believe so many people are hidden “Quake or CS pros” with just noob accounts.
I also ran into a guy today who used a wallhack and a funny thing which multiplied his bullets. One BR-16 burst killed everyone.
I’ve only ran into one guy recently. I reported him and he hasn’t played since then so it’s reasonable to assume he was banned.
I’m fine with seeing a cheater from time to time since AC systems don’t prevent new cheats. THey just try to keep up with them. What I am not fine with is NGS not fixing the crash issue that causes the security violation message. That should have been a day 1 fix yet it still exists and affects everyone I know. At a minimum the default crash message should have been changed if a quick fix couldn’t have been done. But it’s been over a month so there really isn’t a good customer acceptable excuse.
Seen a few before NGS, but nothing of the proportions some people suggested (cough steam reviews cough). One every 30h or so. Since NGS - even less.
The NGS crash stuff - yeah, it’s ridiculous by now. But hey, at least we got a fix to the side objective elevator bug, which ironically was the most reliable way to do this mission (see my bug topic about Trainyard).
So I did a research and found 3 hacks for DB. 1 aimbot, 1 weird all-in-one thing and that ESP I mentioned, with the bulletcount increase. Will it help if I report them directly as hack programs so people can update NGS? Where do I do that?

You know the very same corner you are talking about, Yes. That one. There are ALWAYS people in that corner camping, just like you, thinking they are sneaky, invisible and unpredictable.
Second thing, every merc produces sound. Even when standing completely still. Rhino? You hear his location a mile off. Aura? You know your station has a HUGE GLOWING CIRCLE around it, right?
People know where all enemies come from? But ofcourse they do. The maps are so linear and predictable. There are no more than 2-3 possible routes to come from. You should never expect to stay undetected.
One br-16 burst to the head deals 96 damage. That’s plenty to one shot aura, sparks, kira and proxy.
I’m not saying hackers don’t exist but git gud and l2play first.

If you’re camping in a corner as Rhino of course people will come and knife you, his minigun noise could be heard a mile away. If I heard that whirr around a corner, I’d run in and knife you too.

Nope. If you don’t pre-spin the minigun, and just camp with the main shotgun, people totally hear the minigun.
Wrong answer.
Every merc makes a sound, standing still, doing nothing. No abilities needed.
You need to get your ears checked or get a better pair of headphones.
Something really has to be done against hackers besides “NGS gets regular updates” cause it’s still kicking legit players and allowing unfair game play by cheaters.

Is a level 6 guy predicts every corner, he’s just a skiller u mean? There are hundreds of positions you can camp behind to refill HP, etc. They’re unpredictable.
Rhino doesn’t make sound if minigun isn’t “pre-spinned” Auras health-station makes sounds? Too bad station isn’t online.
This is sseriously BS, sorry. You camp down in a corner in the middle of the map, and someone runs straight at you and already aiming at the corner with a knife. Does he always ran up random corners and already strike with his knife before he is full around that corner? Nah, nobody is doing this who is legit.
Well yeah, BR-16 headshots are dealing 96 dmg. I’m not an idiot nor a new player. But a BR-16 can’t kill a Skyhammer with 1 body-burst. Nor a Rhino with a head-burst.
Your comment doesn’t make sense. If someone has non-legit programs on and aimsnap on 3 people coming from 3 different directions in a matter of a second, I’m just bad? I just ran into a Vassili in a pub server. He had that awesome shotgun-sniper.
Yesh, that one

pls dont post hack videos
It’s funny how the video he posted has nothing to do with the so called ‘hacks’ he described.

Sarcastic comments aren’t getting you closer to your point.
I agree NGS is severely broken but to call hacks on someone just because they corner-rush you while you think you’re being sneaky is just a bit petty. My question to you is, do you accuse everyone that knifes the first thing they see when crossing over a corner? How do you know that they didn’t see you going there?
It might be hacks, it might not be hacks - this kind of thing happens all the time, it’s just getting knifed around a corner.
I agree with you on all the actual NGS issues, Nexon needs to get their ANTI-CHEAT together, and quickly as well.
- By giving Black Cipher a unique load-up graphic for Dirty Bomb so people are hopefully tricked into thinking it’s new.
- The developers asking people upon release of the “new” anti-cheat to be patient and hope no one realizes it’s been a couple months since the “new” anti-cheat has been released and there are still a lot of people getting booted from crashes and there are still a lot of hackers.
That’s how they’re “dealing with” cheaters.
