(crimsonYouth) #21

No problem

(DadoPeja) #22

You said rhino 2 times  also i think the new medic right now would be nice.

(umberInlet) #23

I looked at a few videos of Fletcher and all I have to say is… please let me buy him for 30k! :’(

Lever-action rifles are my favorite types of guns in games. Please let me hold my waifu(s)!!! <3 <3 <3

(capriciousParsely) #24

Looking at the videos, Fletcher seems to be a way better merc at what he does than Nader. Hopefully he is toned down, because that just looks way too powerful.

(_Sniff_) #25

Nah I’m just awesome

so…random question, when Fletcher comes out, will the Ahnuld replace any of the loadouts for Proxy and Aura?

I mean, it is a shotgun so…

99% sure it’s exclusive to Fletcher, other mercs have unique weapons as well.

They only existing unique weapons are because the other mercs that might use them are not in the game yet. More might be added that do use them later, that depends on the longevity of the game and how many mercs end up being released.

The Ahnuld will not replace any loadout cards, and because both Proxy and Aura have their standard number of cards no new loadouts should be expected for them. At least the Devs have given no hint of an incoming change like that.

I wouldn’t mind it if it happens. However a lot of people may be disappoint : SMG Proxy have still a lot of fans around.

(Szakalot) #30

He is more powerful at close range, but scales very badly over distance. Nader is also most advantageous in close-mid range, but remains useful at any distance.

Also, Fletcher is poor on the offense, as stickies are little clumsier to use to clear chokes, compared to spamming nades from safety. Nader is just as useful on offense as defence, though it depends largely on map/stage

(crimsonYouth) #31

New tweet says he is here…
but i didn’t get a patch yet so maybe not.

(cursedFoundry) #32

Yea I don’t have the patch yet either

(Nail) #33

no one has new patch yet but thinkin ppl will be pleased

Fletcher is good at what he does. Which is close range combat.
I am superb at close range combat. Knifing, throwing explosives on people, and shotguns are literally my favourite things to do.

In reality his gameplay is easily countered by Medium/long range characters. Fragger, Skyhammer, Snoipers. All easily kill Fragger.

Fletcher is a massive problem when you let him defend the area he wants to defend. If you get him outside of that area (with say a grenade or mines or airstrike) he tends to be a much easier kill.

You notice all of my kill streaks were in areas I could easily control the flow of the battle and in close range. And one streak wouldn’t of even worked if Aura hadn’t had the healing station down. His mines respawn fast because often times the explosion won’t even hit an enemy. Most of the time they are too fast. His sticky mines either require you use like 3 to kill a person or use one right on top of them.

Even then you have to finish them off.
Fragger’s nades auto-gib. So do proxy mines. Naders often gibs as well. Fletchers mines don’t.

Fletcher is not perfect. I am just very experienced in his play style, I probably almost exclusively used fletcher in alpha. He is much harder to use than it looks. Except his SMG secondary. That’s bullshit. (Also his only midrange option)

(Litego) #35

Everybody shouldn’t be on the point.

As for Fletcher, his ability looks like a lot of BS, the manual detonation, looks like Frager nades that don’t need no cooking. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks.

You know what I would like? A medium sized engineer with decent health and good damage. Like Skyhammer with different abilities. That would be nice.

Bushwhacker.

(_Sniff_) #37

Do not worry. Fraggers grenades have a way larger blast radius than fletchers. Also way more damage.

Haven’t actually tried him yet just cause I hate turrets, but who knows, maybe I’d like him.

Are there any other mercs coming that we know of which fit that description?

Turtle is an upcoming engineer but… no one knows what he’s like or what he does.
