Can I run ET:QW without AA, 1024 x 768, with most of the gfx settings somewhere between medium and high? So that I can still beat everyone else in 1on4, like I usually do. I dont want to drag my desktop setup around the world with me.

Hard to say what kind of FPS you’ll get. I’d like to see more than a 1.8GHz CPU, but oh well…
More/faster is always better, if you have the means.
Really?? Now everything makes sence, no wonder I had 3 fps when I played Doom 3 on a PII 200Mhz pc with a TNT card!

Remember amds have lower clocks but quality is comparable to counterparts of intel.(so ignore clock speeds
Yeah, the AMD Turion 64 ML-34 equals an AMD Athlon 64 2800+ Socket 754 (or 3000+ s939 without dual channel memmory). My neighbour has almost exact the same system (ML-32, only half chache). Guess you have an Acer Aspire 5020 series and then 5024 upgraded to 1 GB or 5023 version. The main problem is that the X700 is an ATI card which are worse in OpenGL. Another problem is ATI not to bring out mobility drivers in my eyes like nVidia does. Updating drivers with the omega drivers (modded ATI drivers, www.omegadrivers.net ) could help to get an performance boost. Still 1024x768 on low without AA and AF should be playable but no higher in my eyes. The slow HDD (maybe 4200 rpm) could also slow ypur system down, that could be upgraded with an faster one. Still I keep my fingers crossed if it will run fine, i dont like the laptop of my neighbour when it starts to freeze a half second every 10-15 seconds in TMN while my old desktop (Athlon 1800+, 1 GB, radeon 9600Pro EZ 256 MB) runs smooth. Quake4 on my PC (in mind the 9600 is worse then the X700, the differenmce isnt too big in my opninion) 800x600 was smooth 30 fps, for single player just playable, but multiplayer it will be hell in my eyes. So I keep my fingers crossed.
You are correct, Sir. I am also using modded standard Radeon drivers, not the mobility ones.
