So, ATI drivers 11.6 drop tomorrow...

(SeptemberBorn) #1

I don’t know about the community, but this will by my last time messing with this game. After spending days upon days installing and reinstalling drivers, this will be it for me. The thing is though, I’m not sure if the game is really worth it. However, I would be more inclined to play it if my FPS were actually somewhat constant. Hell, I would be happy just to get 60FPS with everything on the lowest settings. Even that would be okay. Hopefully ATi comes through, but I’m not getting my hopes up…

Hello everyone … :tongue::tongue::tongue:

Same situation for me … :frowning:

Tomorrow is another day

AMD Catalyst 11.6 WHQL (8.861 May 24) got released today:

Changelog isn’t available yet. I’m having the same trouble like with 11.5b. My HD5850 feels bored with 30 - 60% workload (depending on the settings), while my CPU winds up to 100% usage even in the menu. Not one single frame more… Still “best” performance with Cat 11.3.

I’m done with that game.

I’m with you as well, if it still won’t work I’m giving up on it. Will try new drivers every now and then, but I feel like I’ve already missed too much of the fun. Still haven’t even got to lvl 20

Yes the drivers are disappointing but the DLC I think will be the time when everything will be fixed and a revival of the game will be on the cards, stay tuned guys, please.

(szr) #6

They will need to fix the bugs though, a DLC alone will not suffice, at all. If they release the DLC and there’s no performance fix then this game will have had its day and it will be time to say goodbye. Also, time is running out at a rapid rate, I believe that if the devs don’t do something quick, and I really mean quick like within the next week or two then its over, people will have just given up all hope and be bored of waiting for a patch that may never come.

I really want this game to be big though so all I can do is just stick it out for a bit longer, however, even I will start to get tired of waiting eventually and I will leave this game for good.

LoL, stay tuned… everything will be fixed… Revival of the game. NOPE, i dont believe it.

(kilL_888) #8

in our dreams maybe.

the last month, both splash damage and ati showed their incompetence at delivering a game that got properly tested and the drivers for it.

i have no possibility to fix the issues other than buying a new gfx card. and im not sure if i gonna do this.

(supermac) #9

R.I.P Brink

“Brink - we’re still looking at it, but nothing new to report”

ATi is also dead for me, next card, NVIDIA …

Brink - we’re still looking at it, but nothing new to report. Higher resolution (2560x1600) AMD 6970 scores look decent to me…”

Doesn’t look too good to me though.

(Smoochy) #12

give them hell. i keep badgering him every day. if i dont see improvement then im looking at sending this card back as im sick of waiting months for them to get their arses in gear!

annoyingly my GFX never hits 100% and my quadcore averages around 75%! where is the bottleneck?!?!

(supermac) #13

And the game is out since 1 month … :(:smiley:

(Capricious) #14

This is truly hilarious - splash damage tells us to wait for ATI, ATI says ‘not seeing a problem’ over a month after release and crap performance.

5870 getting 30fps using config utility and 11.6 drivers…

seems like ATI have screwed us over! looks like imi phoning up overclockers and trying to get a swap for a 480 OC or 570!

(supermac) #16

Maybe, Nvidia gives money to SD …
Now, we all want Nvidia graphic cards …

Sick of AMD non optimisation … Always have to wait patch, fix, new drivers to play new games …

Well done ATI, I’m going on the green side …:stroggtapir:
