@ImSploosh We can hope, but they really want this “casual” matchmaking stuff for some reason. I don’t really get it as it stands now; maybe it’ll be improved in some notable way by March, and I can accept it into my heart as I bury the server browser in my back yard with teary eyes and a grave marker made from that 2 x 4 that’s been sitting in the corner of the garage for about a decade.
yeah so I don’t see them abandoning it so I’m just hoping it’ll be good some day.
I’m honestly curious how many players are playing CMM. I mean, I’m sure lots of new players are, but what I want to know is how older players play it. Cause from what I’ve seen, not one of my veteran DB friends enjoy it.
I feel that most of the people playing CMM are new players who just don’t really know any better, like how most people start off using quick join before turning to the server browser.
If SD wants to get in line with other fps multiplayer game, they must have a matchmaking system. But don’t be too optimistic, you’ll still have unbalanced games. While i tested Paladins, i still had clearly unbalanced games despite the game having a higher population.
The only thing really great with the CMM is that we can play with your friends on the same team, being a form of training for the ranked mode. But we somewhat lose the great social aspect we have through the server browser, when staying on the same server with the same players matches after matches.
By the way, if they keep their promises about community servers, they have to keep a server browser.
This being said, im quite sad that the full release is that soon, meaning we’ll keep this meh crafting system and won’t be able to test a system where loadout and skins are separate…
