Today I released Snatch!

Bug Fixes in this version since the Beta Release:

  1. Caulk in stairs by Axis Command post - fixed.
  2. Spawn bug fixed (total workover).
  3. Added some extra cover near map end by the road.
  4. Widened door to tunnel by the truck by 4 units and added player clip.
  5. Added player clip by tunnel exit on top of the hill.
  6. Modified player clip by Axis spawn on ledge by MG42
  7. Modified script and removed faulty entity calls.
  8. Widened distance between dragon teeth at truck barriers.
  9. Allies Command Post bug fixed (const class and spawn move)
  10. Minor texture fixes all over the map.
  11. Moved Allied Construction Tower on east side of bridge a bit.
  12. Changed Allied spawn time.
  13. A number of shader fixes.

Yep, lots of fun when playing it on the VPL server - looks nice and simple to get to grips with - great job!

The layout looks nice, the objectives look nice.

There are quite a few visual bugs (from a perfectionist viewpoint), like textures on the pipe dont match, some stairs are floating, texturing on the terrain in someparts looks quite a bit stretched, etc. I think you might have gone final a little too early.

TE version sounds like a solution. You might want to consider a way of making the map a little faster too. There seems to be a couple too many objectives. Or perhaps you could let allies keep their original spawn. That’d make the escort much easier.

I am aware of some of the visual bugs but having seen how most people tweak their ET clients I don’t really see the point. I focus more on the gameflow than making the most beautilful map ever.
That said if I had the time I could pay a lot more attention to detail.

Yep, we will see what the feedback is for a TE version and what is realistic to change and what needs to be dispositioned. For a public map this version works very well, from a tournament perspective I am aware that things might need to be changed. Some fixes are really easy like making the truck “non-damageable” and moving spawns.

found a bug steelrat
its possible for axis to spawn at allies spawn at the begin of the map directly what ruins the whole map play :frowning:

its a nice map but if that gets fixed its even better !

Maybe you can create a scriptfix? Also when the truck is past barrier 1 the axis swap spawn which at the end of the game makes the allies’ lives a bit too tough IMO.

Apart from that: its kinda hard to get a .zip of your map anywhere cuz u .rar’ed it. And the redirect from your server is down… wanted to try out the map but had no luck.
