Smoothen Mouse setting

(ETplayer) #1

I have a question about this, i am used to shoot without Smoothen Mouse because it makes my mouse turn slow n shit. But i heard some other people say its quite good, but i have the feeling it gives me less accurate aim with the Smoothen Mouse settings.

My question for you, do you use this setting ? Also care to explain why…?

Just post ur opinion about this feature, i wanna know :smiley: { i might wanna give it a try }

Thnx

MY opinion:
I never use the smoothen mouse setting, it seems to effect my aim in a very bad way, suppose it will not hurt for you to give it a try tho you never know it might improve your aim

on another note:
it also comes down to what mouse you have and what kind of mouse pad that you use that can improve your aim quite a lot (not saying you are a bad aim) :rocker2:

Trust me, i am not a bad aim ;)…

just tried it with and without mouse smoothness I didnt really notice a major difference as I am alreayd using 7.09 in sensitivty but it does kinda feel abit nicer

I have a 2000dpi mouse… I don’t need mouse smooth ;).

Besides, any interpolation of mouse positions will only remove my ability to apply any finesse into mouse movement changes… not that I’ll ever master perfect turning in 1v1’s…

And what mouse would that be? I use the MX510, No Mouse Accel. No smooth mouse nothing my sens is set to 2.75 and all is well.

One of the best mouse I have used yet the tracking with it is sweeeeeet!!!

combine that with a monster gaming machine some skill and some phat bandwidth and you will be a force to be reckoned with… Of course this is simply my opinion…

What exactly does Smoothen Mouse do? How does it ‘smooth’ ?

(KingJackaL) #9

It’s a Razer Boomslang 2000.

And CM…Punk, i’d bet bottom dollar it’s just mouse frame interpolation. ( especially handy if you have a standard PS/2 mouse, which’ll only give you 60Hz by default )

Played et since the beginning with smooth mouse, recently removed it b/c people said it f**** youre aim up. I cant see any difference after some weeks with it off.

if you’ve got you mouse connected via ps/2 you can up the refresh rate of this within windows device manager, it’s defaulted to 100hz but you can adjust it to 200hz. If you do this it’s advised that you increase the “input buffer” or whatever it’s called, this can be found in the same properties tab of your mouse within device manager
