i need someone to look at my .map file and see why i keep on getting this error

Map Visibility exceeded

yes i know why the error is there - but i dont know where it has come from…

can someone please have a look at my .map file??

I solved this prob a few times for desert fortress, just select many brushes and make them detail, just hold shift and move you mouse from holland to tokio :stuck_out_tongue: . But, make sure u don’t select the sky

hmm drakir helped me out in the problem - it was something to do with the engine not liking caulk boxes around the map and he changed them to sky shaders for me - and did some other stuff which helped

now vis compile is quite speady , now i am working on getting all of my structural brushes non-touching each other, aparently it is very bad if it does (CSG carve?? :eek2:)

Problem sorted… eurgh but now i really need some help from someone who can make me a few prefabs, especially i need one of a small crane that is 196 in height.

any offers?

I was looking at that dirt terrain also.
At first I thought it was pee stains in the snow. :???:

well i did have an original idea to make some yellow snow and dot it around the map, and at the end of my loading screen map description it would say ā€œoh and remember, never step on yellow snowā€ and the yellow snow would have some trigger_hurts floating ontop of them :stuck_out_tongue:

it had Out of Bounds server…

please delete the map

it is at a very early stage

i was just having a run through with some friends on drakirs server

the map is very buggy and not complete…

All Beta slots have been filled up

I have a server, Smokeys Grotto for the Beta Test

The terrain is all sorted out

the biggest problem now is deleting Marko’s pk3 and replacing a lot of textures

Is there any chance you would want/need some more testing on the US East Coast timeframe? The map looks really good from what I have seen, and I would really like a chance to run around in it and hopefully help to make it better. I can get a server for it set up if you would like some more suggestions and ideas.

Unfortunately, i cant, as i my beta released was meant to be 3 weeks ago, but i got so pissed off with my map that i re did most of it.

and now, two days ago was another one off my piss off moods, and i will be posting a pic of what i made after my piss off mood.

You will be very impressed i think, according to my friend Smetske ā€œorgasmsā€¦ā€

its getting there, but i wish i had as much experience as you, i was overwhelmed when i played your map, it bad that we can not have a 1 v 1.

Hey

pics of the new area…

it is a tunnel/aircraft landing thing, there is airplane landing strip ontop.

this is my best piece of work yet in mapping ever… so please criticise :smiley:
