'Skill' in Brink

(wolfnemesis75) #141
lmao i keep feeding into it like a fool and for that i blame myself…And i wasn’t angry about the topic lol I was angry because i cant get anything smart out of people like you unless they are arguing…You wont talk like you have some sense until your pissed and i see that…Cant have a decent conversation unless your downing someone… Now if only we could have spoken like this before the dumb****…
With the post counts visible you now need not be fooled by dupe accounts and therefore perspectives on skill or Brink in general, that hold little merit.

(ZionDelhamorte) #142

i never said id shoot them i said it happens so you shouldnt pick on the people who come here just to talk with you…And raging? nah i can but it would be stupid…not getting upset and walking into your joking is true and i fell for it like a sucker which is why i dont post much here…or anywhere…my Beef with you started when you started in on me…

How do you know that they are duplicate accounts? If you have evidence then let a moderator know so the perpetrator can be banned as it’s against forum rules.

If not then your accusations hold little merit.

Thanks for the Headsup im heading to find out what ET is about…As for the rest why bother…

(H0RSE) #145

It appears that those who say "Brink takes no skill," are more talking about “Brink taking no skill…compared to other games.”

(ZionDelhamorte) #146

Thanks horse but i have a better track record for Battlefield than i do for Brink…I kick ass playing Medic to support people and assault or engi for Heavy fighting…I feel like it takes more out of me to play Brink Well then Battlefields did…I sold it by the way

(Bauer) #147

How does Brink require more out of you than playing Battlefield? :S

(Seanza) #148

Haven’t read the whole thread. Read your opening post and agree whole-heartedly.

On that note, I miss ET:QW :frowning:

(ZionDelhamorte) #149

…Your not gonna leave me alone are you? If your just asking a question…I said it feels… I feel like i have to concentrate more and try to play harder for a kill due to spread and movement sometimes…If your not just asking a question…Why?

(.Chris.) #150

Erm, well, yeah…

(H0RSE) #151

Let’s take a Medic (which he said he played.)

In BC2, A Medic can toss a medkit, and it acts like a mini health depot. Players can simply stand near it and suck up all the health it has to offer. When it runs dry, the Medic can simply toss another one, rinse and repeat.

In Brink, Medics must physically buff every player individually in order to heal them. They cannot simply sit back and let the players heal themselves by sucking on the health sponge that a Medic provided. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Battlefield games, but they way they handled healing (and ammo) in BC2, is quite lazy…not to say that it doesn’t work well in the game.

Dude drop the whole fraking attitude, stop being so bloody uptight. I was just asking a bleeding question.

Weird though, on Brink I felt like I could always run about quite happily without worry of being sniped/run over/ blown up every time I turn a corner like on Battlefield! While Brink just felt a bit dull in all honesty especially on console compared to the PC version, we got the boring and sketchy graphics while the PC looks bright and vibrant.
It appears that those who say "Brink takes no skill," are more talking about “Brink taking no skill…compared to other games.”
More need to admit an alien feel of Brink in terms of what is comfortable. It requires relearning how you approach a game and what translates to success and a high level of skill. The awareness of the skill required to be good at Brink takes lots of hours in practice and delving deep into the subtleties and nuances of the game called Brink. Not other games. A cursory evaluation and shallow focus on one aspect of the game, gun aim or most kills, or F Key pressing, is not gonna open up the possibilities nor is it gonna be a barometric on the skill ceiling one can reach. Log the hours and you will find the path to Brink Beasthood. This is something the Hardcore know.

Tell it on the mountain, Preacher!

(ZionDelhamorte) #155

well listen to you you were just calling me names and crap and you want to to just say well hell he couldnt possible still be that way 5 mins later!!! I answered so you didnt need to post all that did you?
you know what im done… just dont talk to me and i wont talk to you…

(gooey79) #156

Can you explain that in more detail to me, please?

I’d like to know what I need to re-learn, why it takes hours of practice and what the subtle nuances are.

Thanks in advance.

(Bauer) #157

Fine, think i’ve had enough of angry internet fanboys for today anyway. By the way, learn to type and structure a sentence properly as it would really help your arguments in the future kid

Yeah he if explained himself a bit more we would have something to discuss. Again like Fetter did.

(Crytiqal) #159

Dillusional.
What is this high level of skill you are talking about? I can play BRINK with my eyes closed and still kill people.

Awareness skill? Why would you? It’s not like someone can jump on you and kill you since you will have noticed him even before his first bullet (out of the 20 he fires) has hit you.

Subtleties and nuances? Which ones? Tell me?

BRINK is an F-ing game  <-- See what I did there?

(ZionDelhamorte) #160

Well its being handled…Anyway Horse you play on PC?
