That was directed more at wolfnemesis and him saying it’s a tactic. My whole post was a jab at the fact these people think that pressing a button requires a skill. Next time I’ll add a smiley or /sarcasm so no one that can actually put a well thought post together gets tricked into thinking I was actually being serious about that.
CS has just as much coordination and teamplay as BRINK in pub servers; do you really think that many people work together in BRINK than in other games? Not at all, unless you consider pressing F to be teamwork. Anyone can do good in pub matches in BRINK, but not everyone can do well in CS as you have to actually control your recoil and make sure to burst fire (burst fire is pointless in spray’n’pray BRINK for reasons stated below). It requires just as much positioning as BRINK does.
That isn’t coordinating to a very basic degree, that is all the coordination you need for this game. It doesn’t reward individual player skill, but instead rewards the amount of buffs you have and how many people rush a room at once with all of those buffs. The other team will run out of bullets far before they kill all 5 of you since you are buffed so much.
Mouse2 hurts it even more as it’s my jump key; that sucks, too, as it worked perfectly well in ET:QW and SD had to screw it up. I always burst fire, but there’s no reason to in BRINK, because I remember reading a post (and seeing the below video) where it takes a full second for the spread to actually settle. That’s a lot of time.
He waits far longer than he actually would be able to in a real battle and he still misses most of his shots.
My bad, I don’t really remember any of these crappy gun stats that well as they all sucked when compared to pretty much every other low spread, low damage game.
You will never find anyone roaming the maps at a long distance in BRINK; the maps are cramped corridors full of horribly placed obstacles (that are only there to show of the lackluster SMART system), with no reason to roam the big open spaces. Even if I drop in on a heavy up close I can still beat him, because I move way faster than he does and my gun is extremely dead, and the same thing goes for if I meet a heavy at a far distance.
Again, what skill does buffing require? There is no skill to it, you can’t use it to make strategies other than “buff at spawn.” That isn’t even a tactic, that’s common sense as the game forces you to buff yourself up otherwise you automatically lose against a player of equal skill. I also don’t see that much depth as in a 5v5 match, you have enough supplies all around to buff everyone up completely (except maybe ammo since your soldiers will want to use it for molotovs and flashes).
The EU’s had dignitas and Epilson, yet they’re no where to be found. Doesn’t that speak volumes for the way BRINK was designed? Heck, none of the W:ET/ET:QW teams really made the jump on either side as the game sucked on release. The patches still haven’t fixed the problems as too many people have unstable FPS,

I used to hold respect for you but those times are quickly vanishing. Every time you come into a serious discussion like this now, you either blindly ignore the valid points being made or start randomly making claims about who can beat who. No offense, but it just makes you look immature. =/
On Topic:-
I feel that Brink could have been a more tactically oriented game if:
A) Weapons were respectably lethal, allowing flanking maneuvers and individual skill to make a significant difference.
B) Some buffs like health and ammo were placed, for the already mentioned reasons.
C) The maps were larger with more paths to use and more varied ranges to engage at.
D) The auto-pilot when buffing was not implemented.
I believe it’s been said already but the maps really are too cramped currently. SMGs are always just in range regardless of where you are on the map. There’s only a few instances where ARs (and Light Rifles especially) come into their own and even then, they don’t really have enough time to make use of this advantage before the enemy is in their face due to the larger than necessary spread.
I also feel that, at least the PC version, should not have had the buff auto-pilot. It would have made buffing that much more precise because you could only buff people you were stood near. This would eliminate some of the odd behaviours that caused players to either buff healthy people behind them or randomly start running in the completely wrong direction.

EDIT: Before anyone makes a misunderstanding, I haven’t played any other Splash Damage game than Brink.
I like the game but acknowledge that there are some key areas that really could be improved on, either through patches or a direct sequel.
