How does everyone feel about the changes? Personally, I think the gunplay is much better but I’d like to see further changes and reductions.

Torn between every option but ‘gunplay is worse’ tbh. It’s not so bad right now that it breaks the game, but it’s always going to bother me. Could be interesting to reduce it more but I don’t know if it’s necessary anymore.

The way I see it is that we’re in beta so now’s the perfect time to try changing things. If they do small, incremental changes they can figure at what point, if any, reducing aim punch starts to negatively impact the game. Worse comes to worst, they can just revert the changes.

In the same boat for opposite reasons. viewkick/aimpunch didn’t bother me in the last iteration that much so I don’t mind the recent tweak for now.
Wether it was too much or not I think can only be answered with the old stats and new stats in hand to decide if it still does its job or not. One thing is for sure tho now it is low enough that it can be pretty much ignored outside of longrange engagements, might be good might be bad.

On the other hand weapon handling as a whole has changed quite a bit overall in this patch its hard to single out viewkick for how fights are playing out right now.
On the plus I certainly win more fights now witch is ofcourse nice considering that this was and will be always my weak spot. On the other hand I do think that the changes made weapons a bit too samey and you don’t have work as hard to make some weapons work.

I’m thorn with that don’t like the sameness/ease of use of the weapons/combat but on the other hand it shifts focus to smart teamplay for winning which is very good in my book.

So yeah what I’m trying to say is idk.

Can’t really vote for any of the options but gun play itself feels horrendous compared to before.

Fighting most weapons feels fine but when you go against hotchfir using proxy and she gets the first hit on you, its game over. Your aim throws all over the place. It feels impossible to get a comeback due to the viewkick being super high and random for some odd reason.

So which demographic really is the one that “needs the excuse”; the people trying to get this random factor removed, or the people who say it should stay?

Oh boy, aimkick again. Dodge the shooting enemy instead just spraying brainless with LMB. Still a fast-paced arcade shooter, so use that fast-paced thing.

It’s not like your enemies aren’t affected by viewkick as well so shoot back. I don’t care either way but Smooth has already stated that it’s here to stay so might as well shut up about it and play the game or not play the game. That simple.

Because I disagree with your master-opinion? Both players have aimkick, you can dodge the shots by multiple actions, and it requires a little more skill than just spraying. Yep, so childish!

And I’ve already stated that I’m pretty ok with how it is now. Before it was pretty gross though, and don’t get me started on before the before.

Your enemies are obviously affected by viewkick, the problem is how the first shot is affected. Simply by being shot in the back once you were put at a huge disadvantage due to aim punch. Yes you can shoot back, but you have to try and deal with that aim punch in order to hit them first so they get a period of time where they aren’t dealing with rattle aids.
