Silly question

(engineerguy) #1

I have a silly question I’ve never thought of until recently. Is aiming easier with a larger monitor?

No…imo

Yes…imo

Yes, up to a point.

Try moving closer to your monitor and judge for yourself.

Binoculars ftw!

its easier to see everything on a larger monitor when you use a large resolution

better question:

Is aiming easier with a larger resolution?

while you have steady fps with ‘better’ (larger) resolution it’s ok to increase it. it gives more clear sight on distant objects. but remember, fps IS a KING. (you don’t want to see how i tweaked QW. really.)

Actually I do do that once in a while. But what got me thinking about this was the fact that a widescreen is a different view. But I’m trying to imagine an extreme. Say, a wall sized monitor. Larger targets and so on.
I’m also imagining a stretched (very stretched ) image and how it would increase target width maybe?
