Just had a look at the requests (demands)… not wanting much are you? ¬_¬

(.Chris.) #4

Sounds like some kid wrote the demands, in other words this isn’t going to be taken seriously, not that it would anyway.

Good luck…

(jsergio123) #5

just sign it or write a better one here http://wolfmp.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10

(DarkangelUK) #6

I’ll do neither thanks.

I am not really enthusiastic with this idea, and I would like to make some points:
-Before Wolfenstein 2009 was released, there were lot of surveys to give ideas to the developers.
-They DIDN’T CARE about them.
-Game failed.

Now for this ‘IDEA’:

When it says REMAKE… Are you talking about Making it IN ANOTHER GAME engine OR REMAKE all the ASSETS from this ID TECH 3 game??? Confusing…

Explain please.

(DarkangelUK) #8

They want something that’s never going to happen. How many actual official remakes can you name that exist for PC only? I bet you’ll struggle a good bit to count all the fingers on your hand. Id spent a great deal remaking Quake 3 in the form of Quake Live, and that went FAR over budget and had a much bigger fan base than RtCW. You’ve got a better chance of gathering a bunch of talented RtCW enthusiasts together and making it yourselves a al Black Mesa.

Rtcw gets plenty of sp maps each year, and the multiplayer is still fairly populated. A remake indeed would be nice, but I don’t hold out much hope for that.

(dutchmeat) #10

This won’t work because:
They don’t care about a game this old
If you can’t type proper English, your request will be discarded after the first sentence
This isn’t profitable
Wolfenstein 2009 was a good game, it failed because of negative bitches like you, causing doubts amongst new players
A community game like XReal:RTCW will be built more likely
A new anticheat will have to be developed.

(Singh400) #11

Why look back, when everyone can move forward with a game like Brink?

(dutchmeat) #12

because RTCW is simply awesome, the grandfather of modern MP shooters is still being played by a quite large community.

(Crytiqal) #13

Lool, have you even played the game at all?
The MP part sucked so bad it was dead in a week. Full of bugs and what not.

And I heard that the SP (never touched the damn game again after I saw the MP part but still) shipped with bugs so savegames would screw the game over at a certain point.

Overal, Wolfenstein 2009 SP was (maybe) a “good” game, but the total package was not even decent.

Did you play the game at all or did you just jump on the bandwagon?

MP was flawed but that’s about it, it was neither great or bad, the maps were mostly well made with nice layouts, the weapons were a nice mix apart from the over powered mp44. The veil abilities were actually rather nice and well balanced. Player speed was perhaps a tad too slow but it matched the size of the maps, only slight increase was required. The main problem for this game was it was called Wolfenstein and was stated to be a sequel to RTCW.

SP was the same but I would say it was even ‘worse’ than MP, I spent the whole game following the star icon, didn’t bother with collecting treasure as buying upgrades for your weapons weren’t needed thanks in part to the over powered veil abilities and the mega weapons you got, combine this with linear maps, boring plot, tedious hub world and forgettable character interactions and you got yourself a sub par game. A real shame cause the opening level at the train station was really promising, then they ran out of ideas really fast.

Thank you for this awesome loling moment and for this new quote

I didnt play the real game cuz weil, I didnt want to spend 50€ in a slow boring unfinished pos… A demo would have been nice, but how do you want us to get an opinion where the only possibility we have to test the game is to buy it full price???

Saw it @ 2€ last time on amazon, I might try it now tho

(shagileo) #16

€2
Whahaha, even less and they pay you to play the game

(Apples) #17

^^

3,99€ now

how is that not proper English? and the last statement says don’t use the engine from the Wolfenstein title? I guess english in the UK is different from english in the us. I agree though, the demands could have been written better.

Also about the brink statement, did you play brink yet? no so what makes you think it will be any good other then some cool trailers and some guys telling its going to be great? Isnt Bethesda Softworks the same people that killed wolfenstein in the first place? So I wouldn’t get your hopes up on that just cause splash damage is involved with it.

right now only games we have to look forward to is games like tf2, l4d, cod, and bf which all suck.

[QUOTE=jsergio123;256424]

You can’t look forward to a game that is already release and these games are good games for the crowd they are targeted at. (TF2, L4D = casual, COD = shoot 'em up, 1 vs the world, BF = sloppy team game)

Only game that really just sucks on that list is BF and it’s not THAT bad, it’s far from great though.

So yes, I guess I am looking forward to Brink. It looks promising, they pushed up the release date although they seemed to have completed the game ages ago so that looks good. They aren’t working for EA or Activision, which are just money monsters. They haven’t made a crappy game yet, so I don’t see what we can complain about.

Also the main problem with your petition is that it’s totally unrealistic and looks like something made by amateurs.
The only way it would work is if a few million people signed it in a matter of days (1-3 days) that would really pull interest.
