How do you put a picture or smiley in a signature im dumb and this is hard
sig pictures
just use an image tag:
< img src=“http://the_url_for_the/picture.jpg” >
Just take the spaces out next to the < and > signs, and then put in the URL of the pic. Also, make sure that capitalization is correct.
so it ends up doing this:
Obviously, this means that the pic has to be hosted somewhere, but I’m guessing you have that figured out already.
As for smileys, I don’t know, never tried. I would assume that they are put in just like they would be for the body of a message. Just use a colon then the smiley name and another colon, e.g. : beer : again, remove the spaces.

Er no, you’d use bbcode not HTML, so it’d be:-
[ img ]http://dragon-tech.net/ET/dont_tread_flag.JPG[ /img ]
but without the spaces in [ img ] and [ /img ]
@ Bunny:
Must have your own webspace to upload the sig-pictures
or if the desired pic is in the inet you can link it.
(NdK)
Easiest way to do it is to just enter it in a regular post, use preview to check how it looks, and then copy the code to your sig.
isnt there a way to just get images off your machine on here. without a URL i mean.
not even for a sig though, just normal posts.
and the colors dont work in my sig either.

Either way, I’m used to HTML, and don’t really know bbcode. I changed my sig to test it, and the HTML version seems to work, if you have HTML on.
im having some troubles with putting colored text in my sig. it never shows up with color.
For colours use: [ color=‘color’ (eg, red, blue, lightgreen, darkyellow etc} ] Text here [ /color ]
So for Red:
Red by using [ color=Red ]
yeah thats getting changed in a bit. i hoped it wouldnt be so big.
Does anyone know the code for making a pic in your sig into a link to a site :???:
the link you use in a [ img ] post just do
[ url ] instead of [ img ][ /img ]
so do this [ url ]http://www.splashdamage.com[ /url ]
without the spaces
[URL=http://www.mysite.com][IMG]http://www.mypicture.com/pic.jpg[/IMG.][/URL.] Take away the full stops in the end IMG and URL code and thats it
