Shrugging

For those who dont know what shrugging is, its when a medic or a field op runs out of health/ammo packs and shrugs. I dont know why bani (I was told thats who did it) would enable it. What people do is bind the shrug command to their movement keys. Some of you guys may have noticed how a medic appears to have just finished giving out packs(shrugging, he has no more) and starts shooting immediately. That threw me for a spin, cause I couldnt figure out how they pull out their gun and start firing so damn fast. Thats when I was told about this shrugging business. It is annoying and distracting but thats not my problem. I heard from a few people that the shrugging moves the head hitboxes thus making it harder to hit their heads. You already told me a bit about it reyal, something about bani making the change after the hitbox fix came out. Can anyone tell me why shrugging was “unlocked” and if it does indeed change the hitboxes? I heard someone say this was going to be banned? I dont like it anyway, gives people another excuse as to why they died.

basically everyone’s doing it now, lol. it’s just a fad, ppl do it for the humor value. i did it for a while just for laughs, but assuming what zinx said is true (and of course it is), shrugging while moving and crouched should make it easier to hit the head from behind. so basically, until it’s banned, try to look at it as an advantage for you. i seriously doubt there is any benefit whatsoever from using it. it’s more of an “in-crowd” thing. all the kewl kids are doing it, etc.

if someone is crouching and Im behind em, i’ll probably pull out my knife. ;o I just hope this fad ends soon. Its like the macarena…I cant wait for it to end.

Well that’s just like proners… first only the “cool kids” did it every two seconds… then it caught on to the rest of the world and since then the “l33t” people have stopped doing it and the pubstars have taken over. In the end though, who cares?

In any event I haven’t noticed anybody doing that whole shrug thing yet but I figure now that I’ve heard of it, I’ll notice it a lot more now. And if it’s any advantage to me (like proners) I welcome the fad. Anything that’s easier to kill is ok in my book.
