No soup for you!

 Here we go again people

Anyway i’m just wondering… what does Shrub have as an advantage over ETPro… since i can do this the otherway around  there’s no need to use shrub :eek2:

But since i do know how to use google
http://www.etstats.com/shrubet/

BTW: Somebody already gave you the “home” of shrub in another thread you
created namely:

http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=9362

Still i really suggest you use ETPro

No XP reset ( probably THE most needed feature for ETPro/BayonET if it wants to get on the pub servers ).

…a bunch of other weird stuff…

(chr0nicles) #5

ETPro’s xpsave is sufficient, afteral a reset means a reset

(Red|Cell) #6

/me trys hard not to say anything about etpro or shrub

(faltytower) #7

Clients don’t have to download files necessary to play on a mod-run server and generally has reliable admin commands. Other than that, shrub itself is just spam and unfair play.

There really isn’t a v1.2–just beta tests as the posted link above proves–and never will be. The writer of Shrub apparently left the ET modding scene (and unlikely to share his work, as numerous non-replies to inquiries have tell me). He now runs a Day of Defeat server.

DoD sux and can suck the crap outa my arse

(Red|Cell) #9

wow and i thought u couldnt make a more dumbass comment

Well it’s a shame that a devver left the scene tbh - I will always have fond memories of Shrub from RtCW days - half the reason it wasn’t so well received in the ET scene must surely be down to the expanded gameplay in etmain?

Whatever - I generally have a healthy amount of respect for someone who is prepared to do things in their own time for no money (and in this case zero kudos) for a community - I’d bet that the majority of RtCW servers left are shrubbed.

Might be an idea for future devvers to include a couple of default cvar templates (doesn’t ET-Pro do this now?) to reduce the amount of ‘wierd and wonderful’ server configs that appeared.

i dont know much about teh guy, he should join forces with bani…he must have some skills afterall

(jkr266) #12

2 things that shrub has over etpro, no xp reset, and the shrub bot. bani needs to get a better admin setup, the current one sucks compared to shrubs.

(Rain) #13

The lack of ‘no xp reset’ is a feature, not a bug.

(Demolama) #14

sure… thats what they all say :stuck_out_tongue:

(chr0nicles) #15

and the admin control: is fine the way it is, an admin can do everything what is needed
making use of /sa or /ref.

If you find it lacking then give proper arguments on the area’s where you find it lacking because just saying “it sucks” isn’t enough.

(mouse) #16

/sa ? what is that feature, never heard of it :suspicious:

(Depth_Charge) #17

semiadmin

So no SbrubET beta test version. l thought that doc.link provided was for the v1.2 test version. l was looking to d/l the beta version so we could test it out. So as to provide
constructive feed back to SD. Thanks.

(Depth_Charge) #19

I think about 5 people have told you this…
SD DID NOT MAKE SHRUB!

ND80 runs 2 or 3 shrub servers. Goto his homepage (link in my sig) and looked to the left side for CFG’s link.
You will find all the cfg’s for ND80 servers.
